You will see how he figured it out in chapter 18, I promise. And no, she didn't speak aloud ore lowered her sheild.
I'm glad that you like this take. I had a lot of fun writing this. Asd for the updates, I am trying my best to keep the frequent. The story itself is already finished, what is holding me back is the fact that I go back (with Simaril) to beta the chapters before I post them.
From the pace so far, I'm gonna be posting a chapter every one to three days. The total chapter count is 34, and there will be a sequel (which I just finished outlining).

Glad Bella and Edward finally met and he actually spoke to her [without having to wait a week like in the original]. I am excited to see Bella meet the rest of the Cullens!

Yup, Alice is a fun character to play with :) She has a big part in setting things in motion, but from now on the story would have a little more focus on Bella/Edward.

Just found and started reading your story last night...this is a very clever take on Twilight, and I love how fate keeps realigning itself back to canon. So Rosalie is dead but still watches over Dale/Emmett, does that mean there is no hope of love for him?
I don't think we have seen the last of David either, so I hope they keep their eyes open. Now its time for Bella and Edward to officially "meet". I can't wait for the next update!

That doesn't mean that there is no hope for him, but it means that it will take time for him and Rosalie to unite.
You are absolutely correct; we did not see the last of David. He has his reasons, and I promise that you'll see them a little later in the story.
Next chapter Bella return and she's telling up of the first meeting with Edward :) I'm pretty excited to post it myself.

i really like this chapter, but i still hope you let bella get more experiences before she meets edward. He isn't pure in this story so he doesn't deserve to get a pure bella in my opinion. I really can't stand it, but hey thats maybe just me, but please indulge me. Than I can see them more as equals.

I understand your feelings, but there are two problems with obliging to your request:
1. I can't see Bella having sex with Jacob, or Mike, or Tyler in this story. I really can't see a way for me to make her "less pure." Honestly, I think I would be stoned to death if I let her have one of them, hehe.
2. This story is already finished. The only reason I'm delaying in posting it is because I'm having it betad to make sure it looks readable. I've actually already have the outline for the sequel for this story and am about to start writing it.

I know that they are not on equal ground in terms of expirience, but Bella isn't a doormat here (at least I hope not! lol. I certainally didn't write her like that).
She has a little breakdown toward the end, but she is strong and she won't let anyone walk all over her.

I think that you're forgetting the the Edward here is very far from canon-Edward that we all know... He's not scared that easily, I promise.
As for Rose, she's not really a ghost per se, but she's not alive either. There is more to her story, but it will be told a bit later into the story.

Oh this is such a great mystery to untangle. I am hoping everything turns out for the best. It sounds like there is a vampire with an ability to compel others that worked on CArlisle. I am thinking they changed all of the others and took them. Hmmm.
