To bad Bella makes Edward always defend himself. She  won't stand up to Jake and when Edward does he was wrong. But when Tonya was an issue Edward stood by Bella and put Tonya in her place. I wonder is back at the restaurant with the waiter if things were reversed how wow Bella feel if Edward was laughing and scolding her and being extra friendly to waitress how Bella would feel. 

All I know is I never met a man who likes insecure women. Just like women hate clingy men.

Wish I could give some money, but things are tight. Tell him we all thank him for his service and that what he does makes a difference, no matter how small or big his job. I grew up with a father in the Navy and live in Colorado Springs CO where a great deal of service men and women ship in and out of. We are proud of them! Each and every one!

I read this entire story and have to say loved it. I cried, cheered,feared, loved, celebrated, grieved with the story. Amazing concept. I was in the story. Feeling Bella when Ed was in Germany. Also when she was on her way to see him. I could also be there seeing Ed points. I did get frustrated that she shamed him for his caveman feelings and as I saw being to friendly to the waiter to make her point. And with Jake. I saw it as excusing his behavior while Ed didn't excuse Tanya bad behavior but stood up to it. The timeline was extremely confusing though. At ages of 25/26 they are great to have grown to know who they are as individuals what I got stuck on is if Ed was 8 yrs in the Army and had not heard from Tanya except one letter never taken a leave. Yes I would image there was no relationship on either side, but in that aspect the writing was like he had been at war a year ... and her failing out of college and thing did not follow the 8 yr timeline. Thank you both for sharing your creativity. Up there on my favorite stories.

I know Bella's not stupid and that she realized she reacted out of her fears and insecurities but she should have talked to her girls first and then explained to Edward what she was feeling. Avoiding this hiccup in their forward progress.
Edward was very determined to set her straight. Glad he expressed his insecurities about not being around as she goes to the bars and out with the girls. He has no control over those situations any more than Bella does while Sarge is in a foreign country.

Her letter is so formal. Almost as if she has already said good-bye.
Has she even considered everything Edward has told her about himself and what he wants in life? Has she forgotten he has made a choice already that he was excited about? She told him to move in.....that is something he has already accepted.
Edward needs to find a way for him to be able to meet her when he gets off the plane in Florida. That should solidify his feelings and remove any doubt she has to his intentions.
If I were Edward I'd be a bit pissed at her for letting her head take her in directions that will hurt their chances of a successful relationship!

I guess she followed thru with her promise of having a few for Sarge!
