I just found this story today and I love it! I can sympathize with Bella. I didn't meet my husband until I was 28 and I'm definitely a curvy woman with some self esteem issues. I'm lucky I found my "prince charming" and that he loves no matter what I look like.

I like the idea of their relationship going slow, much more realistic given the circumstances.
Bella, and you for that matter, are built much like myself. My wedding dress is a size 18, (got married in 1998), and after my second baby, I was a size 24/26. The largest I have ever been in my life! It doesn't help that I have a thyroid disease, and I like my sweet tea, lol, but I'm currently down to a size 18/20. Granted, size 18 is bigger now than it was back in the late nineties, but I'm trying to lose weight for me. Me.
I never do anything for myself, and it's high time I did.

You and I are very much alike, Louise. When i got married, I also wore an 18 dress (though I had to have altered big time because I lost a shit-ton of weight). The largest I ever was twenty and that was right before I made the decision to get divorced. I have thyroid disease, I love carbs, and cannot live without my pop. However, no matter what, we are beautiful despite our weight.
I wish you the best of luck if you do decide to lose weight and i'm positive you will be successful!

She's depressed. She lives with her douchetastic father. She's an emotional eater. Not everyone is skinny. Even healthcare professionals can be chubby. My doctor is chunky. If living in the situation that Bella was in, would you want to be super skinny? Probably not.
