Five yrs ago, following Charlie's brutal murder & the Cullen's departure, Bella fled Forks, hoping to forget. That had been the plan, at least. However,when an innocent trip turned dangerous, she realized she hadn't buried her past as deeply as she thought. The supernatural world hadn't finished with her yet. In fact, she was the perfect weapon in an age old war.

Great chapter here. I like how you threw in spirtuality with imprinting here. The books really do not get into that. Interesting take on it.
I feel bad for Embry. He imprinted only to get rejection- a not completely, but a rejection on his love none the less. I can just hear his desperation when he pleads;: "choose me. Choose life." But I guess real love can even conquer an imprint, because true love captures the heart as well as the soul. Even Embry reluntantly realises it when he says "alright, I won't force you to accept me." and accepts Bella's friendship.
I like how you portrayed Bella. Yu have stayed true to her character. She loves EDward, even though she at this point can't or won't admit it. I wonder though if her decision to keep Embry as a friend could end turnning against her later on. A clean break may have been preferable, because it may give Embry some false hope. Well let see what happens. Good JoB!
P.S.: I'm glad i finallly found the story. I noticed you deleted it from twilighted program. But I found and eagerly waiting to see what happens next!

Good start. Yuo set the scens and the characters beautifully. i like how you are making jane and Alec more well-rounded characters; you actually desribe how past experiences shape their personalities, they are not creul for the fun of it, their past and they're job makes them that way.
Interesting take on Carlisle and Aro's past together. I wonder why Aro was so lenient to Carlise in the past books. You may have explained the reason. SHould be interesting if they meet again.
So Alec and Bella. It has been done before, but your great imagination you show on your other stories should make this an interesting Journey! Please continue!

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the beginning. I have always been intrigued with the twins. I thought SM could've given them more depth, expecially considering they are the cornerstone of the Volturi stronghold/guard. I've never shipped Alec/Bella before, but my friend begged me to write her a short story, so I will gladly accept the challenge. I have to say, I'm actually enjoying the thought of Bella being a part of the Volturi. She'll be one powerful immortal, but not in the canon sense. (Hell, when have I ever followed canon? lol) For this story, I plan to draw some character elements from the supernatural world of SVM/True Blood, but not enough to change canon, significantly. So, it won't be a crossover—she'll still have a shielded mind, but in all actuality she isn't a mental or physical shield. I can't give away any more info than that. Sorry. :(
(The Aro/Carlisle relationship will be explained later when they are summoned to Volterra for questioning. Let's just say, Carlisle didn't actually leave the coven due to his disalusionment with the brother's feeding habits/lifestyle—that's just what he feeds the family as an excuse. Oh, and it'll definitely be a different Volterra!)

Great chapter! I've gotta say Edward is a coward. He gives Bella a night of great passion and then leaves a note telling her that he's leaving. At least in the book he had the guts to tell her to her face.
So she meets both Jane and Alec. I like how you gave Bella some bravey here; how she gets angry at the vampires other than running scared. She also beginning to realise how she she is starting to feel something for Alec. I like how you described his power coming through his fingers; Stephanie Meyer just makes it seem that it floats on the air out of nowhere.
"She's mine." That's how you let Alec claim Bella. I wonder if Jane is going to become Bella's Alice in Voltera, or if she is still going to resent Bella. Well Edward and the rest will be in for a surprise when they meet again1 Please keep going!
