Oh, thank you so much for taking the time to let me know you are enjoying my story.  As for the British idioms, I do take you point - but then I often feel that Americans think they invented English LOL.  I do recall that I once received a review for one of my other stories from a rather cross American who informed me that it was unnecessarily distracting that I used British words and phrases in a story set in England with English characters, and 'suggesting' that I used American terms instead to make it easier - presumably, this person had never read Austen, Trollope or Dickens, or, indeed, Rowling or any number of other British authors.
