Ah yes, that makes me feel better. Bella had the exact response to that horrific scene that I thought a sane person should. I guess as a reader I am reacting far more strongly than someone in the club would have, without the prior knowledge of Edward's hard limits and tendency to trust his Dom not to push him to safe word. It's difficult to read all of Edward's pain and panic, and it was gut wrenching. Very good writing though!

Thank goodness, a Carlisle/Tanya showdown. Grr, I really hate that woman. Regardless of what has happened to her it has perverted her basic humanity. Can you tell she is a sore subject? Now Bella's massage of Edward was lovely, you can really sense her care for him through her actions. I know it won't always be this way, but this is what this chapter called for. I have no doubt that Bella will rise to the occasion, if Edwards dreams are any example.
