I'm a photographer, painter, siamese cat lover, and an avid bird watcher. I have 3 siamese cats that I keep indoors for their safety, my piece of mind and for the birds who visit my feeders..:) I love to read, and am a huge movie fan with a giant DVD collection. I also love music and worked in the music industry and AM radio.
Bella is a Master's student who is forced to take a freshman class because her counselor "forgot" to make sure she took it. Edward is a last minute teacher added to the class Bella needs to take. The relationship between the two quickly transform to something more than just teacher and student.

Summary: The newly appointed King Edward has failed to produce an heir with his wife of fifteen years. He's considering a 14 year old Lauren? The daughter of his mistress? Ok, you've got to show us more of Edward to get us to start liking this cad..although what happened with Tanya did happen more times then not in those days seeing that a son was so important to the crown.

You are the only person so far to have pointed out both Lauren's age and her relationship to King Edward's mistress. A younger bride was considered to be more fertile and Edward is after all an ass. His redeemable qualities are unlikely to show until about chapter 9 I'm afraid.

Well...I like sitting quietly by the lake at the end of my street and looking out at the water. I especially like it when the Mallards have their young swimming behind them.
Looks like Edward has to grow somewhat..doesn't sound like he loves Tanya that's for sure, sounds like it was an arranged marriage..but weren't most of them? I've never been a Tanya fan, so I'm not shedding tears at this point, but I do feel a little sorry for her considering Edward is acting like a total ass.

Edward is a bit of an ass at the beginning of the story but Bella will soon help him find the boy he used to be.

I am assuming that this is NOT going to be totally like Henry Vlll? That Edward does redeem himself eventually?

Yes Edward will redeem himself. I stated in the first chapter (I think) that this would not be like Henry VIII. Some components will be similar but I felt that that story has been told already and it wouldn't show my ability as a writer if I just made Edward into King Henry. I think someone should let him know how Bella has been treated by her parents, the beatings etc. If he'd known how she'd been treated previously, I doubt he would have struck her. Although, geez...Isabella has quite the mouth on her, in those times it would be hard for someone not used to her to not stike out. Hell, I used to be slapped for less by my own mother and that was the 20th century.

King Edward struck her as he is unable to control his flaring temper. Even had he had the knowledge of her past, the king would still have gone out of control at Bella's words and struck her. As Emmett explained to King Edward, Bella doesn't express anger often, but when she does it is quite a magnificient display :P

Edward is a very complex and darkly tainted man. There are many things about him that I hate at this point myself, hoever he will be the good man he was always meant to be. It may take him time to get there. Bella is much more stronger than anyone gives her credit for, her story in this is still untold. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I hope that you continue to read and review and let us into your thoughts of him as you get to know him more. I will warn that during chapter 4 I started to liek him more nad mroe and at the end of chapter 5 I wanted to rip off parts of his own body and feed them to him.
