I actually much prefer TWCS or Twilighted.  It's easier to post because it keeps my formating intact, so I don't have to use periods to hold blank lines.  On FFn, everything just runs together.  I also much prefer being able to see my responses to reviews.  It so much easier to make sure I don't miss anyone accidentally.

Edward did tell Carlisle about Bella twice, once by her first name only and once he said he had a friend who lived in AZ, but as far as Carlisle knows, Bella was a human girl - granted one with an exceptional gift, but human nonetheless - living in 1918.  He has had no reason to connect a human girl he believes lived in 1918 with one he knows lives in 2009.  As will be mentioned in the story, Edward does not like to be reminded of the human life he cannot remember.  Regardless, I don't think Carlisle would ever have told Edward he had a friend who he'd appeared to have fallen in love with.  What would be the point?  It would only bring him pain.  Edward's human life was lost to him as soon as he reached a point in the influenza that changing him became the only way of saving him.  I think Carlisle would only considered it a blessing in disguise that the memories of a love he could no longer have were lost.  Like Edward - mistakenly - said to Bella in NM, "It will be like I never existed." Or something like that.
