After Renee and Phil die in a car accident on Bella’s 17th birthday. She is sent to live with her father, Charlie and brother, James in Forks WA after being separated for 10 years with no contact. This is so emotional. I'm confused by Carlisle's actions. First, he points out Bella's shyness, which I'm guessing he knows will result in her being punished. Then, he warns her not to cry, informing her that crying will make her situation more difficult.
Maybe I'll learn more in the next few chaps.
GREAT story, btw! It's unlike any fic I've read before, and I've read LOTS.
