I know you said Alex would never be evil, but Esme wasn't evil in the first series either. Carlisle drove her insane.

I hate how history is being rewritten. Since when was Lexi a doting mother? When she was alive she pawned her daughter off on nannies, and that was when she was sober. Candace was not a sweetheart. She not only went after a married man, she disrespected Esme, and she wanted to get with Aro as well. I haven't forgotten when she and her friends tried to threaten Lauren. And now all of a sudden Esme is a bad person? She is an excellent mother. The one time she wasn't , it was due to postpartum depression.
Bella is right. Carlisle destroys women, and it just majorly sucks that he is constantly forgiven and will no doubt get his happily ever after, meanwhile Esme will be killed. What about when Carlisle was very close to raping Bella? That seems to have left Edward's mind.

I love this series, but I truly loathe Carlisle. How can he say that Esme is evil?! After all the shit he did?! Or did he forget he killed another woman he claimed to "love", It pisses me off that he is putting his whore above Esme. Candace was no angel, she knew Carlisle was married and yet she still went after him, even after Esme was so nice to her, so I am giving her a pass.
Esme did what she did because Carlisle drove her to the point of insanity with all his cheating.
