Dissy, I don't even know where to start with this review. I am ENTHRALLED... it's the best word I could come up with. This story absolutely blew me away. I loved everything about it. Your brilliant words created the perfect atmosphere. You made me feel the dampness, the dreariness, (including that of Edward's life), and not so much the darknes, but more an absence of light. You made me feel Edward's panic, his lethargy, and in the end, his craving for this woman.
This line was so amazing: "Touching her meant certain death, but he'd die anyway if he didn't." Genius, Dissy! You summed the whole story up in that one sentence.
I could write aother ten paragraphs about all the things I loved in this story. However, I will leave you with this. I VOTE FOR THIS ONE!! You know I love Assumptions. This one, however, has the substance and the "grit" to truly showcase your amazing talent. This is the one you should continue.
I will say no more on the subject. I will read which ever one you choose. But I'm not above sending you cases of dark chocolate. ;)

I don't know who I feel the most sorry for, Edward or Bella. I definitely understand his anger. However, I think Bella was probably very young when she was turned, so maybe she didn't make the most mature decision. She could have handled the situation a little better, given him time to become completely enthralled with her and then given him a choice. She knew he was her mate, but not being a vampire, he wouldn't know that. And we all know that sometimes we have to let men THINK they are making the decisons, right? If he had refused her, she could have just changed him anyway. ;) So I guess I feel the greatest sorrow for Bella. His rejection must be breaking her heart. After all, Edward now gets to live forever, gets to have great sex for hours at a time without getting tired, and has a ready-made hot woman to do it with. Nope, don't feel as sorry for him. ;)

Great chapter, Dis! I got a good laugh out of Edward running inside when he saw the sun coming up. Then he hid between the windows... bwahahaha. That was good,girl!! But then you made my heart hurt when he was being so mean to Bella. I wanted to cry when she said, "You don't have to be so cruel." I can imagine how I would feel if the person I knew was my mate, was being so hurtful to me. Her heart has to be breaking. You've made me wonder whether she knows for a fact that he will eventually feel the same about her; or does she think it is possible that he will leave her. I LOVE THIS STORY!!! I'm getting the feeling that there is a really good back story to Bella's change.
