While I saw something like that happening. I personally know how unrealistic it is. Now I'm not criticing. It's fiction. But I talked to my lawyer about having my ex husbands rights stripped. He went 9 months without seeing my daughter, no support not even a phone call. My lawyer told me that it's very hard to do and even if I found him and he would of willingly signed his rights away, unless someone was willing to take responsiblty right away and become her father a judge wouldn't even consider signing off on it. It's fucked up but they system still feels that a child is better off with 2 parents even if ones a deadbeat asshole.

My face hurts from smiling. I call Esme to talk to her about it, but she doesn’t answer. I get a text from her the second I hang up.

~I’m with your dad. The team is having a few drinks to celebrate!~
And just like that I’m reminded that I’m only a kid and I can’t be with them to celebrate such an amazing thing.
~Do you want me to come back? We are right down the street.~

Now what will I do with myself? I start watching the TV again as they are showing the series of hits once again. I watch all five hits and the interview again, before my phone dings.
~Edward’s not much of a drinker so he’s staggering back to your room right now.~

And just like that, my night gets a whole lot better. It feels like an hour even though he is walking in the door within ten minutes. I hear the door lock click and I jump up and run to my man. I highly doubt his smile could get any bigger. He drops his bag and I throw my arms around his neck. I giggle as he lifts me of the ground as we hug. I wrap my legs around his middle and don’t let go.

Wow another chapter that has gotten a bunch of awesome reviews almost right away. Thank you all so much for everything you say. We’re seriously loving the reaction this story is pulling from our readers. There are quite a few comments about Carlisle continuing to allow Bella to room with Edward. At this point Carlisle may have suspicions, but he also knows Bella is safe with Edward. I think he wants to believe it is all out of ‘familial’ love that Edward looks after Bella. Even though Bella is seventeen, he doesn’t want her occupying her own room. Edward seems like the lesser of the evils, and Esme is also there coaching him on how it is okay. More about Esme’s back story will surface, and you will all get your answers about her view of marriage. Ben will not sell his story to the press, but that was an awesome idea, and had we not already had an ending for Ben that is even more perfect, we may have used that so KUDOS to TWF24 for the great idea plant. Ben is a jerk right now, but he will eventually revert back to the nice guy Bella thought he was, but we won’t tell you how, just yet. As promised here is a bit of a teaser for you on the next chapter...and of course it is a good teaser too, but subject to changes during beta process.
“They’re here!” I yell as I take off running. As I fling open the door Alice is the first person I see. We throw ourselves at each other. “I missed you! We have so much to talk about.”
“I know!” she says as she lets go of me. “I brought your birthday presents too.”
“Presents!” I say excitedly.
“Yeah! We’ll do that when we go hang in your room,” she tells me as Esme grabs me in a hug. My Dad bear hugs me and heads for the kitchen because he’s starving. I love that he feels so at home here. Edward is the last one through the door and I look behind me before I lean in a kiss him quickly. I let him through the door and he pulls me in for a hug.
“I’ve missed you, Baby,” he says kissing my neck.
“I missed you. I love you,” I whisper to him.
“I love you, too,” he says right back without missing a beat.
“Oh my God,” I hear behind us.

Wow, what another outstanding bunch of reviews we have gotten for this chapter. Want to address some things to cover a lot of comments and questions. Yes jasper is a *INSERT YOUR OWN CHOICE WORD HERE*, and as much as Jess and I both really like Jasper as a character as a whole we wanted to make him not a nice guy for once. As for non-cannon pairings, we have Elizabeth and James, we have Jake as a gay man, and we have a surprise upcoming, but we want to be very clear this is an EDWARD AND BELLA story, therefore they will be together and cannon, well as cannon as they can be, with our changes of age, humanity, and attitudes. Alice really is pregnant, and Jasper really is the father. Bella and Edward were keeping their relationship low key and not out in the spotlight, because they are not sure if Liz does or doesn’t remember, and they don’t want to ruin her wedding day. (Besides, we had Jasper and Alice to make a scene... LOL.) There will be more time jumps and drama ahead, but fear not we are working on keeping this story a nice mix between drama and hilarity. “You shut the fuck up,” Mom says pointing her finger in Edward’s face.
“Mom, stop being so mean! You weren’t this freaked out when I was with Ben,” I say trying to get her to calm down.
“Yeah, well, you weren’t having sex with him! I know the two of you are having sex!” she yells.
“First of all, it is none of your business!” I yell at her. “Second of all I put myself on birth control long ago. And thirdly I did have sex with Ben, he was unfortunately my first. Even though I was stupid enough to make him my first, I was smart enough to take care of my own birth control. Oh and for the record, I always made Ben wear a condom and pull out. I do not want a child right now and as for Edward, he respects that.”

Well there was speculation that Alice may have gotten pregnant on purpose, and where I can’t answer that right now, that answer will come with the story. Some of you are having troubles reading the whole review reply at FFN, if you go directly to FFN and read there, you will get to read the entire thing, if I get wordy... which is most of the time. Liz is quite a piece of work, and I am assuring you now that the majority of your concerns and questions brought forward from Chapter 9 will be answered in chapter 10. All about Alice and Assper will come out eventually. We will also learn more about Garrett/Gary in the future when Bella talks to Esme herself. Teaser for chapter 10: “Baby, we need to do something about your mother,” Edward says on his last night with me.
“I know, but I don’t know what else there is to do.”
“Maybe we could go out to dinner with her and Jim?” he asks as I shrug my shoulders. I really didn’t think anything was going to work. “Well, we need to do something.”
“Let’s run away and get married and then she can’t say a word about anything,” I say as he kisses my temple.
“As tempting as that is, I don’t think that would work. She would probably hate me even more,” he says with a laugh.
“We can try, but I don’t see her even being nice about anything.”
“Call her and ask if they want to meet up with us for lunch tomorrow,” he says as I nod. I check the time to make sure that it isn’t too late to call. I would feel bad for waking her up.
“Bella, are you okay?” she answers in a panicky tone.
“Yes, I’m okay. Are you okay?” I ask with a giggle.
“Why are you calling so late?”
“It’s only ten, Old Lady,” I say as we laugh.
“Oh hush, it feels later than that,” she says with more laughter. “Was there something you needed?”
“Yes, I was wondering if you and Jim would like to have lunch with Edward and me tomorrow,” I say as she sighs.

So virtually everyone has figured out that Liz (not Renee, who in this story is Bella’s hardly ever mentioned grandmother) is indeed pregnant. Liz is not too old to have a baby, in this story right now she is only 33 years old, women well into their early forties are having babies without worry, so she should be more than safe. Where you all have figured it all out, no one else in the story seems to know, other than Jim of course. Liz is currently out of control; however she will not bend or change anytime soon. Alice is a piece of work, and Bella is upset with her, but still loves her. You will learn more about what is going on with Jasper and Alice soon, we promise. Teaser: I open my eyes to see it is still dark out. I look at the clock and I see it is five in the morning. I look at Edward and he is sound asleep on his stomach with his arms under his head. Just as I go to wake him up for some morning lovin, I hear my door creak open. I lift my head to see Alice smiling at me. I quietly get up and we head downstairs. We make hot cocoa and go and sit in front the tree. Our parents still made us go to bed before they would put anything under the tree. I kind of liked it that way. Even though I knew Santa was real I still was able to have the element of surprise.
“Look at all this stuff,” Alice says with a giddy giggle. “Uncle Edward spoiled the shit out of you. From where I am standing I can count twelve gifts.”
“No way!” I say in a half whisper. I go to her and see my name over and over again. “Are there any stores open? I think I need to go buy him more. I only got him six gifts,” I say as she giggles.

I loved this chapter. It was playing and loving. I like how they are taking everything slow and really finding out what they both want. It's very indearing.
Okay I have to comment on the Q&A. I think Charlotte's E is Emmett. He is closer to their age (right?) and he is just seems to be the type that a quite girl would crush on but never go after. I was also surprised that Carlisle goes home. I have been in the building that Edward lives in a friend of mine from collage grandparents lived there and they always invited us up for the weekend. So I know almost all the larger apartments have maid's quarters. It really is a fascinating building. Also if you were interested you can pull up floor plans on the web. I had looked it up again last night to see if I could picture which might be Edwards.

I tried to look at the floorplan, but it confused me a little so I used my creative licence. I got a few things wrong. For one, most of the apartments in the building are two floors, which I neglected to put in

I loved seeing the guys together. It is so typical for guys to want details about each others sex lives. They are to funny. It was nice to see Edward realize how deep his feelings really are.
I feel incrediably sad for Carmen, I myself had a late miscarriage 2 years before my daughter and know how hard that is. That explains a little bit about what Edward thought of Carmen's strange behavior at the benefit.
I want to apologies for my review. In no way did I mean any harm. I truly love this story and all the details that you add into every chapter. I just wasn't sure if you knew that looking into the details of the building was something that you were aware of. Not many building can you pull up actual floorplans for, so i just wanted to let you know that that was a option. When I write I like to get as many facts as I can and from reading all your wonderful stories I know that you put a lot of research into your stories as well. So I was just offering some information on a place that I know personally.
So please know that I wasn't critiquing this story in any way. And I am sorry if you took that the wrong way.

I'm glad that they finally talked about what they truly want out of their combined relationship. It's nice to see them so comfortable and finally relaxed in their new roles. But I have to admit I cringed when she got her nipples pierced. While I find that it can be very attractive and beautiful even the thought of having it done makes me wince.
