I will admit that i have generally enjoyed your story, up until the part where Alice and Edward confess to lying and keeping secrets from Rose regarding having a baby.  Granted, Alice should not have one until she is ready, but to belittle Rose and her ability to cope is appalling.  Furthermore, the main component of a poly marriage and a domestic discipline relationship is communication and trust.  For the husband and head of household to be granted the ability to make and enforce rules through physical punishment, TRUST is the key element.  Not occassional trust, no trust when its convenient, but ABSOLUTE trust.  He forfeited that when he kept Alice's "secret".  And his little monologue about sometimes you have to weigh the needs of each wife and sometimes keep a secret to protect one over the other is complete crap in this particular situation.  This is not a minor issue.  It is one that the family had discussed at length and if Alice changed her mind, which was her right, then it should have been immediately addressed with Rose whether or not she was in a perfect emotional state.  I feel that you dismissed and belittled the very real hurt Rose has suffered from their betrayal.  And betrayal of trust is exactly what it was.  And now she is expected to still accept Edward as head of the household and his decision to date Bella.  Edward shows no real remorse and understanding of his betrayal of Rose and is arrogant enough to think that he should just be able to go about business no matter the cost.  I do not feel it is a realistic portrayal or does justice to Rose to have her just say okay and 5 minutes of explaining her hurt. Her marriage to Edward and relationship to Alice has been severely damaged and the story should reflect that.  She should have second thoughts on being in this relationship and whether it is truly healthy for her.  Her hurt and lack of trust in Edward should be shown and explored.  The very foundation for which this unique and complicated relationship(s) exist has been shattered and to ignore it is unjust to Rose.  I understand that she comes across as moody and bitchy but that is no excuse to dismiss the hurt and betrayal caused her.  Edward needs to be held accountable and should see that his actions have damaged his relationship with Rose and maybe he might just lose her.  I, for one, am of the opinion that she may be better off without him.

Author's Response:

Sorry it took me so long to replay. I did read it as it came in to my mail. But I read all my reviews thru the email option on my iphone and for some reason I am unable to respond or review on my phone. So please don't think I was ignoring me, because I was not. I just have had a hard time finding time to sit down and write. I appriciate that you took the time to let me know how you were feeling.

Now I wrote Rose's response to the meeting in front of Edward the way I did for a reason. I can promise you that Rosalie ha not forgiven them and that will come out in the next few chapters. Yes Alice and Edward will both have to win back Rosalie's trust.

I have done a lot of research on polygamy in school, on the computer and I personally know a women that is a polygamist. And everything has pointed to the same thing, the man has ultimate authority and this is especially true in Domestic Discipline. But everything I have read says the same about when a man makes a mistake it says that he is only human and can make mistakes. The difference between a man and a women is that the man has to answer to no one but himself and to god. (I do not agree with this at all, but this is the way they feel.) When a women makes a mistake a mistake she is accountable to her husband and he takes care of her punishment so that she can be cleansed of this. They feel it is harder on the man because there is no one to cleanse him of his mistake.

Now in polygamy a wife is said to have no say in what happens between a husband and his other wives. I have written Edward as including both Rosalie and Alice is almost all decisions because for me that is the only way that I can justify this lifestyle.

My wives "are the most important things in my life and I would rather die than ever hurt them."  "If everyone isn't honest it can create hostility and someone could get hurt."  Hmmm..... like siding with one wife to keep a secret and lie to the other wife for over a year?  Hypocrite much Edward?

Author's Response:

Yeah maybe just a little.

Yes Bella was foolish to leave her father and go with Carlisle.  No, we can't forgive Carlisle.  She needs to be done with them all and all of their deception.  As Edward said they can never redeem their actions against him.  It would serve him right to never know about his child and be able to be a part of its life.

Summary: Past Featured Story

What if Edward did not take the dramatic route and wait till noon to step into the sun in Volterra?  What if Alice and Bella were incapable of getting to him in time?  What if he was not the only casualty of bad timing and misread visions?

This story takes us down an alternate path than what we followed in New Moon.  The Cullen’s are no longer whole and Bella is so badly damaged that she may be unreachable as she closes herself off to the pain of the outside world.

Can a new love save her?  Can his voice pull her from the darkness?

This story is rated NC-17 for major angst, suicide and the possibility of far off lemons (who am I kidding?  If you have read any of my stories, you know there will be lemons…but not for a while).

Beautiful!  Keep up the great work.  The scenes with Edward have me crying every time.  I know they'll have to say goodbye, but its going to be heart wrenching.

Author's Response:

Heart wrenching is a good way to describe the next one (have the tissues ready).  Thanks so much for the review.

Till next time

I am enjoying your story so far.  I really hope that for once, Bella DOES NOT forgive and forget so easily.  She should limit Edward's time with Mason and completely shut him out regarding herself.  His family should not be allowed any contact with Mason at all - not for many years at least.  I'm not sure how to see a HEA with this.  I really would like to see Edward suffer watching her move on with another.  i doubt you'll do that though, but Edward should seriously suffer.  Her last email said she was letting them go, so she should stick to it.
