Well this is definitely interesting! So Edward will meet Bella as the mother of one of his classmates?? That is most definitely a different twist. Usually I'm not the biggest fan of Bella/Jacob - but this is interesting since you can already see that their relationship is lacking. Plus the fact that I'm a fan of your writing - so I'd probably read it regardless of who she ends up with. I am wondering about why Bella didn't go to college. It just seems like something she thinks about with the way she mentioned her high school friends. I was thinking surprise/young pregnancy but if my math is right she was 20- so she never went? I don't know why I am so concerned with it... just weird I guess. Don't mind me. Great start! Going to read more...

Well that was unexpected. Why would Edward want that job in the first place? It seemed like he didn't know about Bella's family - which was the reason I was thinking he wanted it.

Edward was just looking for something to do other than school. A break from the mundane of his life. Probably wanted to get away from the couples of his household a bit....oh and of course I needed some way for them to meet. LOL.

Well it was the original Quil that imprinted with Claire. She was 2 when it happened so she is the appropriate amount older here.

Oh wow - just when I was starting to like and feel a little pity for Jake again...
Once again, I was NOT expecting that! Is it terrible to say that at least now he's out of the way? Because that was my second thought (after OMG!) when I finished reading. I'm sorry but I'm with Canon Bella - "It's always been Edward". I (sometimes) like Jake but every time it comes down to a choice or a triangle...it's going to be Edward.
I will say that I am slightly sad b/c this will be hard on Bella and family. I wonder how Edward will play into it all now. B/c I know Quil isn't going to want him anywhere near Bella. And knowing Bella - she'll find a way to make this her fault.
Can't wait for the next update!

I really liked this chapter! You are making me miss Jake. But then again as soon as Edward comes back into the picture - I'm over it. :) Loved last chapter too! Work has been HELL for the last two weeks so after I read in a hurry thinking I'd come back to comment...it didn't happen. Go figure.
I KNEW you had to be purposely leaving the fact that Claire's boyfriend (can't remember his name) hadn't imprinted on her out for a reason!
Hopefully Quil can find a civil way to work things out with Bella or vise versa. I just can't tell you how much I love Edward meeting (and courting??) a 35 yr old Bella.

Loved how she stood up to Rose - I guess being 35 as opposed to 17 helps you to stand your ground a little more.
Also loved how you took me back to the first time I read Twilight with your description of his lightly colored clothing (something the movie was extremely lacking in - liked the pea coat, but that was about it). And then how you described his vampire speed...I daresay you did a better job with that than SM. I could actually picture it and imagine how strange/uncomfortable that would be at first.

18 chapters?!? Wow - so I guess a lot is going to be happening in the next few chapters! Awesome. And WOW - my heart actually hurt a few times reading this chapter! I can't believe he knew the whole time! Seeing how upset C got at the thought of B/E sleeping together - makes me really glad they didn't (even if I kind of wanted them to at the time...). I'm sure he probably always had a complex about Bella being with someone closer to her own age - if not, he probably does now! Maybe this is something he will be able to get over as he has more time to think about why she did it. Poor Edward. Hope he's found soon. Can't wait for more!

Okay - I'm just repeating what everyone else said but I loved this! It made me smile AND tear up at the same time! You are such a wonderful writer. Sometimes reading stories that go back and forth on 1st person POVs gets old. It seems to flow much better this way. Not to say I don't like 1st person too but your writing style in this story is refreshing. I didn't read the story info right and went in thinking it wasn't complete. So I was bumming out half way through thinking I'd have to wait for updates on this heartwarming story. This is probably the first time I've ever been happy that a story wasn't multiple chapters!
