Summary: Past Featured Story

World War II Navy Pilot Edward meets shy wallflower Bella at a USO dance and starts to fall in love immediately.  Two weeks and a wedding later, they face separation as Edward ships off to the Eastern Front.  How will Bella handle life back in the states while Edward fights for their country abroad?  Will the letters they exchange be enough to help them get through the painful separation?

Rated NC-17 for the lemony exchanges in the first few chapters and perhaps later on in the story.

I think this is perfect!  My husband is active duty in the military, and we have had to deal with LONG deployments, some of them involved in war...there is always an adjustment period when he gets home...sometimes it is a few hours, others it is a few days or even weeks depending on what he saw/did while he was gone...I think they both sounded just like reality--being seperated is the most difficult thing ever if you truly love the person...but no matter how much you love that person, you kinda live "alone" while they are gone, and it can be hard to readjust when they are back.  We have always been very fortunate to be blessed to always have short recovery periods, even when he has been through major trauma and horrible things, but I have known couples who surely were not nearly as fortunate...still I am looking forward to more Edward and Bella now that he's home!  Wonderful reunion chapter and several times my eyes swelled up imagining Edward and his reaction to his baby girl--my husband HAS cried over his children before--they weren't infants, but old enough that he had missed so much--you handled this PEREFCTLY!  I just had to tell you!
