HI Matt,  just wanted to congratulate you on a very fine piece of writing.  It may be "rough" as you call it, but it is real.  The abuse was handled compassionately, considering the topic, and not gratuitously.  You're right, we did need to read Emmett's back story, to better understand why he was at the clinic, as well as why he has the scars he has. Just like Carlisle needed to see that not all of Emmett's scars were self-inflicted. Again, congratulations & please continue to write these lovely treasures of yours.
