Awe...thanks for the loving!!!! I did a lot of research, wanting to have it fit in the time period and still be true to our favorite characters. I love the idea of it and where I plan on taking it. Thanks for acknowledging the work that went into it and for taking the time to review it...this story was a dream that wouldn't let me be and now I can't stop working on it.

I love writing Esme - she's an oft forgotten character because she is the mother figure, but she has a lot to offer in a story.

Im as feminist as they come, but even I saw the point. If they were in civilization rules are different. This kind of '1700's' expirence cAlls for more patriarchial behaviors. Lives depend on everyone rowing together, and in such cases a "when the men were men and sheep were nervous" norm is imperative. I think everyone has stayed very much on the enlightened side of the force, despite the very traditional roles they find themselves forced to embraced. Lord of the flies this ain't. So the haters can unpack. Plenty of time for equality when they have breast pumps, disposable diapers and pharmaceuticals at hand again!

Thanks for reading and reviewing chapter 38. I also appreciate your support for the chapter 16 spanking. I think some readers don't always see that the norms of modern society don't always apply when you're stuck on a deserted island, alone, and without modern technology or public services like police, search and rescue and ambulance. In reality, even in modern society, people sometimes act out of character - take for instance a mother, distraught over her missing child, and she spanks him/her when she finds them, before kissing and hugging them. Terror makes us do things, we might not normally do.
