She bit her lip slightly. "Victoria was there as well. James shot her and she died."
The boy's jaw dropped in shock. "She- She's dead? Like, she can never hurt me again or take me away?"
Bella blinked in surprise. She wasn't sure of what his reaction would be, but that certainly wasn't it.
"Yes, baby. She can't ever hurt you again," she responded quietly.
Jack bit his bottom lip and nodded resolutely. "I mean, I guess it sucks that she's dead, but does it make me a bad person being kinda happy about it?"

In other news, Bella and Jack both won the Avant Garde Awards that they were up for! I simply can not thank everyone enough! You guys are the single biggest reason that this story has been as successful as it has! I adore each and every one of you! And not just for voting or reviewing, but for continuing on this journey with me and loving Jack as much as I do!
I'm shooting to have the EPOV up soon, but he's been difficult. I'm also in the process of writing a Victoria POV for the Fandom Against Domestic Violence compilation. It should be interesting to see how well I can channel bat-shit crazy!

Parachute ~ Chapter 36 Teaser:
Bella stood, drenched head to toe, in the middle of her front lawn. Hot tears streamed down her face as the chilly rain pelted her skin. Her mouth was open slightly in shock, as she gazed down with wide eyes at the man she loved more than life itself. Edward's hopeful, joyous face grinned up at her from his stance on one knee. The ring held in his hand was a single brilliant diamond that was simple, yet elegant.
"Isabella Swan, I have been captivated by you since the moment I first laid eyes on you. That love only grew and expanded as I got to know you and saw first hand what a wonderful mother you are to our son. Forever could never be long enough for me, to feel like I've had long enough with you. Marry me?"
She covered her mouth and let out a sob, before throwing her arms around him and shouting, "Yes!"
They fell together, a mass a limbs and lips, their hearts beating both beating wildly. He pulled away slightly and pushed a lock of rain-saturated hair from her face.
"Let's go inside, please. I don't want you to catch a cold."
When they stood, his eyes were drawn to her white shirt, now completely plastered against her bare breasts, her nipples hard and straining against the fabric. His hand reached out to brush against her breast, causing her to become self conscious and cross her arms across her chest. She laughed lightly and nodded her head towards the house.
"Come on, let's get dry."
Edward let out a loud guffaw. "I'd rather keep you wet, love."
His hands wrapped around her waist and he pulled her back to his chest as they tumbled into the house. Sopping wet clothes soon littered the foyer floor and hands roamed greedily.
"Where is our bedroom?" he asked huskily, sweeping her into his arms.

I won't ever be remembered for my common sense. I know most of you hate me and I'm fine with that. I deserve it. I was a bad, bad girl. For those of you who don't know my story, I'll start at the beginning.
My mother married my father for his money and power. When she'd finally had enough, she left and took half of his net worth, including me. He never seemed to mind. He sent an obscenely large support check once a month, but it always felt like a buy-off. Once he re-married and began a family with his new wife, our interactions were even fewer. Who knows how I would have turned out if he had made more of an effort? He's just as much to blame for my upbringing as my mother is. He knew how she was, yet he still didn't lift a finger to keep me.

"You're grounded until you're thirty," she murmured against his hair.
"Understood," he chuckled softly.
"I'm serious," she yawned. "Wait until your father gets home."
Jack gulped audibly and nodded. "I know."
Soon, Bella's breathing evened out and soft snores filled the air. Jack's heart clenched and he truly felt horrible for lashing out at his mother. He had no idea what made him say the things he had. She had never been anything but good to him and proved her love over and over again. The phone chirped next to him and he answered it quickly, not wanting to wake her up just yet.
"Hello?" he asked softly.
"JACKSON CHARLES CULLEN! What is wrong with you, boy? Why would say something like that to your mother?" his father's voice boomed from the phone's speaker.
"Shh, Dad, please quiet down," he replied in a hushed voice.
"Quiet down?" Edward yelled. "Are you seriously telling me to be quiet? Boy, have you lost your mind?"
"No, Dad, please," Jack whispered, "Mom is sleeping next to me."

Teaser from Rabbit Heart Chapter 1:
The streets were eerily empty as the girl stealthily slipped out of the Beverly Hills house, although one could quite easily exchange the term mansion in its stead. Her shoulders were hunched as she made sure her hood was firmly covering her blond hair, her back laden with only an over-stuffed backpack and a guitar case. She needed to escape quickly, unseen, and today was the best time to make that happen. It was just after eleven pm, on Christmas Eve and there was practically no movement on Santa Monica Boulevard. She traveled on foot for almost three miles before coming across a cab running on the desolate streets.
She quickly stowed her meager possessions in the backseat before climbing inside.
"The nearest Greyhound station, please," she requested as softly as she could, but still within the driver's hearing range.
The older man glanced at her in the rear view mirror. If he thought anything was off about the way she kept her face hidden, he made no mention of it.
"Heading home for the holiday, sweetie?"
"Something like that," she murmured, staring out of the window and watching the lights pass by. They reached their destination in just under fifteen minutes and she handed him a $50 bill.
"I leaned over my wife again and stroke every little inch of her face “I’ll make your pain stop…” I kissed her unmoving lips with all the love I had as I thrust the sharp needle straight into her heart..."

This story is a retelling of Breaking Dawn. It sticks to cannon up until Bella and Edward are back from Isle Esme, from there on it's all mine! In a way this is how I wish Breaking Dawn was written. However, the major focus of this story is on Edward and Renesmee's relationship rather than Bella's experience. So if you're a Dadward fan this story will appeal to you! (or at least I hope it will)

I felt her before I saw her; I turned to see her walking towards her picnic table, the one she and her friends always sat at. The way she moved could hypnotize a man. She was confident and sexy, always with a smile on her face.
Some days when she was wearing her cheerleading outfit, it was near impossible to stay away from her. It wasn’t something I was ever attracted to before, cheerleaders, that is, but her in that tiny skirt was heaven. She was completely different from me, where I was more shy and withdrawn, she was bold and sassy.
I knew her name was Bella as I had heard her friends shout it enough times, but that was the extent that I knew about her, besides the fact that she was beautiful.

She still loves him. And he does love her, that's why he feeds on humans-to keep away from feeding on the siren ( which is wrong but that's the only way he can cope). It's hard to explain this bond...it's so powerful, I guess you call it supernatural. The whole siren thing...is just lust-there's no love involved for Edward. And Bella knows this. The siren bond will break...eventually.

Awe - is she in love? I hope he loves her back if she is. I am sad to see her go and do that. I do feel hopefull for them as people - they are working through there issues. In order for them to truly be happy they must be whole first.
I love the story and the way you present them working on themselves first and then gradually coming together as a couple. That is best way to ensure a long happy relationship - is to enter it as two happy well-grounded individuals.

It has been an utter loss to Twilight fans that Stephanie Meyers did not finish Midnight Sun. I know I was devestated and could not let it end where she did. That is where my obsession began and it ended with the next three stories from EPOV. Sorry, but I couldn't help myself, I needed to know how it ended. But what came as the biggest surprise to me was how it did end... I never would have guessed after writing for the next three books it would have ended this way.

Interesting that he feels that he should create a son - which is part what he coveted and then say he would destroy him if he did not follow in his footsteps.
You can try to teach him but he was a 17 year old boy throughout the entire series - he found himself in adult situations on many occasions but he did not react like an adult most times - he acted like a teen.
Edward has a very strong ethical and likely religious foundation. Edward never wavered in his belief in the existence of God - he simply believed God had forsaken him due to his imortality. That was not Carlisle doing - imho Carlisle need to mentor him to finish maturing or at least have a more adult thought process. I also noticed that Edward appeared to be the most family centered of all the Cullens.
I think Carlisle loved Edward and later Bella like his own children but had no clue what it meant to be a dad.

I had pretty much seen Edward as a nonbeliever in the power of God, but I think now that you are right, he most likely had belief but figured he was damned due to his immortality. Thank you for providing me food for thought as I go foward in my writing!
I also agree that Edward has the knowledge of an adult but his brain is forever frozen in a teen stage of development -- that leads him to often make more 'teenage' decisions -- especially under pressure.
Edward left his parents and has entered his rebellious years. While we know what Edward chooses to do in that time, what effect did it have on Carlisle and Esme? What choices did they make? Could a parent ever really let go of a child? Warning: this chapter contains violence.

Second semester, they do College in HS and go to community college or UW and fade from Forks. No bonds with Jakers and Laurent finds the Cullens there which means he goes back to Irina. Victoria got the idea for newborns from the Volturi. No suicidal Edward, however Victoria runs to Volturi and most of the events of Eclipse and BD sans Jakers imprinting and the Bella/Jake/Edward Triangle. I would have more Volturi action and maybe Pack meet Aro....

e breaks up with her long term boyfriend and is the only single person among her friends and family. With a reconnection of an old crush thanks to Facebook and an unexpected meeting with a new man, Bella does the only thing she can, follow her heart.

I am glad to see Edward take responsibility for his actions and child. Bella needs to put her child first. Her issues with Edward are for her and Edward to work through. They do not have to marry and have an HEA. They both need to be parents to the child.
Jake needs to be relegated to friend status by Bella - not surrogate father but friend. Woman up Bella.
I admit one of my pet peaves it reading about people who confuse their issues with the other parent as the child's issue. Provided there was no abuse of any sort it is not hte child's problem it is the parents problem. You can have conflict with the other parent - just keep it civil and constructive.
I am a mother and waited till I was in my late 30s because that is when my hubby and I were mature enough to have little ones. Parenting is a hard, exhausting job. But worth it.
Ideally we would all be married or coupled with our perfect soulmate but that is not reality. Instead we have to grow up ourselves.
Edward and Bella need to work through there own issues and their issues with the other at ROCKET spead. Sure healing takes time but find a solution and implement it fast. Little person first. In summary, they need a crash course in maturity and to get an A in it.

Jakers had all the signs of being in love with her and she is oblivious. Threatening Edward with tossing him as a father - news flash - he can get an attorney and fight her for custody. My hubby's lifelong bff sued his ex for custody, I don't know the specifics. I can't stand his High School buddies.
E/B are starting to grow up - Edward needs to let his first born rest. He is with God now. Take care of the child he has to raise and finish his greieving process. Perhaps Bella can help with that - she could go to counseling with him.
Bella needs to drop all of her whining about the past and think about today and the future.

As for the VM, I had an option when I had a phone through Sprint that let me store my password. That part is (or was I don't know if phones still have that option) real.
Jacob isn't in love with her. He really, really cares for her and has gotten close to her family. He does think of her as a sister and doens't want to see her hurt. He didn't want Edward to see her because he thought he'd upset Bella, thus he deleated the voicemails and texts.
Edward is coming from a place where he ignored Connor's death for so long that through help of therapy he is starting to let go. He bever fully mourned and claimed he never wanted children because of this loss. I would imagine loosing a hcild that far into a pregnancy is devistating. Everyone talks about how some times the mother has a hard time coping, but the father is rarely mentioned. Edward is trying to move on and now that he has accepted his death, with time he will be able to move on.
Bella is thinking about the now. Every decision she is making is based on the child she has now. She is trying to make good choices for Charlotte's sake.

It's not that she didn't want him around. She wanted him around for the baby. She said to him that if he wasn't going to help with the baby then he should leave. he smartened up and began helping with the baby. She also told him he could move in as long as he was going to help with the baby, which again, he has been doing. She has also loved him, even after he fully rejected her after she visited him in Washington after his father died.On the flip side, Edward of course never really stopped lovign her either, although he was a jerk and he knows he needs to prove that he really does care and really wants to be there for her and the babino.

Esme has confused me. I am glad she is being supportive of her daughter? But I am a bit surprised. Though repeatedly suggesting she give her baby to Emmett/Rose is soooo aweful.
As for forgiveness between E/B - if you will carry a torch for someone and always compare every person you meet to that him or her for that matter. At least give it one last try.
This Bella started to turn into a whiney, bitter, unhappy fool like one of my college ex-best friends
I an ex close friend from college who is like that. She compares every man to Dan it was she who broke things up. She did not want to marry a teacher - not lucrative enough. She is 41 now and never married or had children - she lived with a couple guys and always mentioned how much happier Dan made her and one of them would not marry her or have little ones. He has to be close to 50 and had kids with his first wife. She was whiney during the time our friends starting marrying and when we started having babies she would always make snarky remarks about how much further ahead you will be professionally if you do not have children. While that tends to be true - I would never change beiung a mother. My littles ones are awesome. She even had the nerve to mention during one of my miscarriages that it is better to have a miscarriage than to bear a trisomy 18 baby and that it was only 10 weeks along. All she had to do is say I am sorry you are hurting so much and say nothing else.

Esme has put what she wanted in her life into Bella, that's why she is so hard on her for so long. She is acting as her mother treated her adn doesn't know any better, She alsokind of resents Bella since her grandmother left her an inhartienc ewhen seh died and Esme got nothing. She thinks by suggesting giving the baby to her brother and his wife that is okay because the kid will have two, married parents to support it. Remember Esme is an old fashioned Catholic. I actually have family who I think would suggest the same thing (I know, redulous isn't it?"
Bella's not whiney, she's tired and confused. She's trying to sort things out the best she can, however no one has quite been through her situation so she is muddling through the best she can.
I'm sorry about your friend and about your miscarriage. I myself have not experenced one, however, I have had a close friend who has and it's terrible. My cousin also had to labor a baby that died. I'm guessing there are no words to describe how you feel. The weight it plays with your emotions too must be tough. I like this jane. I do not blame most of her actions. Edward has issues - like all Edwards. People often do not say what they wish to say - that is root of this conflict with Bella. He should have told her about his first child. She could have helped him grieve before Charlotte's birth or even before her conception. This Bella give seems the type to have been willing to sit attend the counseling that was needed before his vile actions.
To me that is support to help you help yourself. No one can fix you.
I admit I am not a fan of how Bella handled her pregnancy but Edward frankly was appalling and horrible. I know that many men do stuff like that and they should be made to support their children. Ideally they would do half the work but if not they can pay 1/2 the cost having someone else do it.

I never got away from work during my maternity leaves. I just had less emails to answer, I was expected to read them. It stinks. Parental leave should be just that - though movies are probably differerent. Though Emmett/Rose babysitting rocks. I would never trust my kids to a teen sitter.

I'll admit, I'm totally making up the Hollywood aspect. I have no idea how that works, so in my world it works how it is unfolding! Also, another chapter will be dealing with Bella going back to work. I'm a preschool teacher and babysit some of the kids in my room. After hearing nightmare stories of teen babysitters, i would never either. I babysat as a teen, but I feel like a-that was a billion years ago and b-I NEVER acted the way these kids do! I would never ask for a friend to go with me, none the less my boyfriend. It's crazy.

Wow she showed signs of real maturity and so did Edward. I know nothing about entertainment - but I woudl not want a firm that lies about my life to represent me. What part of none of their business.
At first she was acting pissy - I understand the career part. I was answering emails for my annoying as hell boss 8 hours after a c=-section. I could not be out of the loop according to him. In the end, I need the income being a "girl geek" as my hubby puts it, so I deal with it. It interferes with my family but I do my best for everyone.
My boss has never lied like Seth did - if he did I would be job hunting.

I think when you have a baby you are forced to mature in various ways, which is why Edward and Bella are acting like adults. Edward knew what Seth did was wrong and Seth wouldn't listen to him (well, at least in my head and in the notes I made for maybe another out take chapter from Edward's point of view). All Seth ever cared about was making money.
I'm trying to post the next update tonight, but I don't know if I will be able to get it up, but deffinitaly this weekend.

You are right, as an agent your job is to keep your name in the spotlight, however, the way that Seth did it was completly wrong. he could have encouraged Edward to volunteer with an organization around Boston adn get PR that way, but he didn't.
Tanya is the type of person who thinks the world owes her. She doens't think she does anything wrong. She acts confident. She wants Edward so she'll do anything to get him. that's way she went along with Seth. She also doesn't know how to treat people. She thinks people are disposable.
Bella is insecure of herself in some ways. She doesn't understand why Edward would choose to be with someone like her in the first place. She also remembers how he was during their break up and how he was distant. it was always int eh back of her mind that Tanya was with him.
The next chapter will be posted this evening. It's part two of Edward's POV.

Bella told you the story of our life together, which according to her human memories was correct, she told the story, as she believed it to be. The problem with human memories is that they fade and become blurry over time. Vampire memories are stronger and more reliable. Not to say that Bella didn’t tell the story as she remembered it, but I remember it a bit different than she did.
There was quite a bit she had no knowledge of. A lot of things that happened with my family that she couldn’t know about and I never revealed to her. This is the story she wouldn’t have known to tell. My hope is that it will clear up a few misconceptions…
