I'd like the story to stay up.  I really enjoy reading it.  I think you have clearly stated, in every chapter, who owns what.  I don't think you're plagiarizing anything.

Oh Emmett.  You'd save yourself a hell of a lot of hassle and heartache if you learnt from other people's mistakes, instead of your own.  Actually, you'd save yourself a hell of a lot of hassle and heartache if you learnt from mistakes, period. Being overprotective and domineering are not the key to a healthy, happy marriage.

I'm glad Jasper and Bella are finally okay.

I think the Building Trades program will be good for Jasper.  He wants to do that stuff, and it must have been mortifying to be told that he was horrible at it.

Alice actually enjoys working at Walmart?!  Are you sure you didn't type 'Walmart' by mistake? :)  She's come a long way.

I loved Jasper and Peter's texts to Bella at the casino.  I laughed and laughed.

I think the boys either need lessons on hunting, and how to handle skunks, or, they need to find some other activity that involves shooting.  Jasper and Garrett might be better off finding an activity that involves guns from their human years. Re-enacting or something.  Speaking of Jasper and Garrett, I'm tired of them arguing with Rex over which guns real men use, so I'm going to throw my two cents in (in favor of my favourite weapon, of course):  Real men use swords.  Only wimps use guns.

Author's Response:

Bella and Jasper want only the best for their family--especially for Em and Rose, so they'll go out of their way to ensure their happiness. Emmett was wrong--so wrong for shaking Rose and frightening her.  Em and Rose need a face to face discussion alone.   We're going to send Em and Rose away to work on their issues while Bella and Char have a chat.

The Palms Hotel has crazy hotel suites--the Barbie Suite w/the stripper pole really exists as does the Hugh Hefner Skyline Villa.  They also have a suite with a bowling alley and one with a basketball court.  Nuts, huh?

Now, I know the 12 million win on the slots was over the top, but apparently it is feasible.  Each casino has a slot machine in which, if you hit the jackpot, you win 2400 times the amount. By the way, the same article also stated that those machines are programmed to hit the jackpot after a few hundred million pulls.  Slot machines also allow you to gamble up to 5000 dollars--so that's where I got the idea from.

As for the wealthy society mom who doesn't care about her kids--she's a mom in my son's Boy Scout troop.  Yes, she does exist.  Yes, I witnessed what she did to the poor salesguy at REI.  No, I run as fast as I can when I see her ass coming.

Rex, Garrett, and Jasper go to Philly next chapter.  Thanks for your review.  XOXO

I'm glad Jasper put his foot down and forced Bella to act like an adult.  He should have put his foot down before she ran at the end of last chapter, apologized to Bella, explained that he protected Amber because he was afraid that Bella would kill her, and he didn't want Bella to have murder on her hands, and then said that he overheard her talking to Rosalie, and maybe Bella should go somewhere for a while--they could even get divorced if it would help her--, and when she was ready to be an adult, they could start over.  Jasper was in too much pain and shock to do that, though--and it wasn't the last straw.

I'm glad Bella sent a letter this time, instead of just disappearing.

Yes, Jasper shouldn't have tricked Bella into marrying him.  However, Bella's complete disregard for Jasper's needs and wants made him desperate, and when a person is desperate, the brain usually doesn't work, making the person do desperate things.  (If I were in Jasper's situation, that would have been the last straw, and I would have told Bella to go to hell, and left her.  I have no desire to be with someone who doesn't value my needs and wants. Of course, I wouldn't have to deal with the mating pull.  Jasper does, which is an influence on his decisions.)

Riley is right.  He and Victoria are partly to blame.  I think Carlisle and Esme--especially Esme--are also partly to blame.  They're overbearing, their behavior--mostly Esme's and Victoria's--is reprehensible, and they can't let go.  That's very unhealthy, as they seem to be realizing, and it taught Bella to be an uncompromising, temper tantrum-throwing brat.  The goal of parenting is to raise children to be adults.  Riley, Victoria, Carlisle, and Esme did not do that, which has caused Jasper an extraordinary amount of horrible, horrible pain, and has caused Bella a great deal of frustration and pain.

Yes, Jasper should not have cheated on Alice.  Not because Alice didn't deserve it, but because Jasper is a good man, and would end up wishing he had honoured his vows.  Alice treated Jasper like he was worthless, so she really has no right to be upset that Jasper treated her like she was worthless.  People react to how other people treat them, and usually they treat those other people how those other people treat them.  Alice was too focused on herself to see that.  If she had treated Jasper better, he would have treated her better.  The world would be a much better place if every one treated ever one else like Hufflepuffs.  Unfortunately, there are too many Slytherins and partial Slytherins for that too happen; and so, in order to survive, people play by Slytherin rules.  So I don't really blame Jasper for his part in the Jasper-Alice-marriage fiasco, even though--in the long run, at least--it would have been better if he had acted differently.  Also, people who need counseling don't always realize it, and counseling wouldn't have done any good then, because Alice was unreceptive.  If she had been receptive, and they had realized that they needed counseling, and gotten it, I think they would have had a good marriage, and an amicable split.  But then, if Alice had been receptive, they might not have had a problem to begin with.

I think Jasper and Bella are both victims (Jasper of Maria, Alice, Carlisle, and Esme; Bella of Riley, Victoria, Carlisle, and Esme), and what they needed, but didn't realize they needed, was to work through their issues before they got together.

In that respect, Bella's temper tantrums were a good thing, because they kept the families working through their issues and changing their behavior.  (Jasper wants Bella to be happy so desperately that he doesn't need any other motivation to change.)  Recognizing and changing unhealthy behavior is very difficult, and without Bella's temper tantrums, the families would have stopped.  (I mostly have a problem with Bella's temper tantrums when they hurt Jasper.  He is not a completely innocent party, but he is far more innocent than Carlisle, Esme, Riley, and Victoria.  I don't count Jasper and Bella moving out after they got married as one of Bella's temper tantrums--it was a joint decision, and a very good one, especially since it made every one realize that they needed to change.  They just didn't realize how much.  I don't think Bella should have temper tantrums at all, especially at her age; however, I think the family members, particularly Esme and Victoria, needed the motivation they provided.  Unfortunately, Jasper got hurt time and again in the process.)

I agree with Carlisle and Carmen.  I think the master's bite is just what Esme needs.

I laughed over Amanda raiding Bella's wardrobe.  I can't do that with my mother's clothes--we haven't fit into the same clothes since I was fourteen.  It was like my skeleton spread, or something, and now my clothes are bigger than hers.

Well, that's one way to deal with a troublesome supplier!  I feel sorry for Mike, but it was pretty funny.

Author's Response:

Jasper and Bella have finally made up and by the next chapter, they will be a much stronger couple than when they first started.  I'm sorry to say that other couples will not be as strong as J and B.  We'll be working a bit on their issues.  The family has to be completely tight and together before they encounter the next demon in the form of Maria.  They will need each other.  I'll also be bringing in two more new characters to join the already huge crew.  Trust me, you'll be surprised.  They won't be arriving for a few chapters yet.

The party was cooky, I know.  You've got to hand it to Riley and Mike they know how to bring down the house.  Of course, they also have to bring down the furniture.  I have no idea what made those numbnuts invite humans.  Vicky is an example of a vampire who should never drink.  I agree with Carlisle, though, the master's bite inflicted on Esme wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

I can't raid my mother's wardrobe either.  I, obviously, didn't inherit her genes or her jeans.

I apologize for the delay in my reply.  I was in bed with a fever and a head cold all last week.  Ew!  Never want to go through that again.  Thanks so much for reading and reviewing.  XOXO

Poor Jasper!  I really don't think he meant to do the wrong thing.  The impression I got is that Jasper was so shocked he froze, and when that happens, the brain doesn't work.  So, yes, he didn't act appropriately; however, I think it's understandable, and every one should cut him a little slack.  I don't think Jasper ever means to do the wrong thing; he was just never taught how to do the right thing.  Of course, that doesn't mean that the current 'wrong thing' was any less painful for Bella.

Bella needs to start acting like an adult if she wants to be treated like one.  All of her issues are an explanation, but not an excuse.  If she wants Jasper to act in an emotionally healthy way, she should act in an emotionally healthy way.  Jasper is trying hard to change, but Bella is refusing to change.  It reminds me of something my dad once said (jokingly) to his brother: 'marriage is give and take.  I give, she takes'.  (Mum called him an asshole.)  That kind of attitude does not a good marriage make.    Bella needs to stop having temper tantrums every time life doesn't go her way.  If I were Jasper, I'd be sorely tempted to tell her to go to hell.  'There are maidens in Scotland more lovely by far/ who would gladly be bride to the young Lochinvar'; Jasper doesn't need a jealous, insecure, spoilt brat.  I always thought Bella in the books was rather selfish, but this Bella really takes the cake.

Frankly, I'm rather mad at everyone right now.  Bella complained about how every one else got away with murder, yet they crucified her and Rosalie over nothing.  That's true; however, every one,  including Bella, does that exact same thing to Jasper.  The only difference is, he doesn't complain about it.

I hope Bella and every one else shape up.  Jasper doesn't deserve how they treat him and every thing they make him put up with.

Author's Response:

I think your issues will be addressed in the next chapter.  While I agree with you that Jasper froze in shock, I think he had ample opportunity to redeem himself.  It doesn't matter though, we needed Bella to run.  Why?  Well, because Bella has never really had the opportunity to grow up.  She'll do so when reality hits her big time next chapter.  Jasper also needs to come to terms with the fact that although Bella was quick to forgive him for it, perhaps his greatest transgression was forcing a marriage upon someone who wasn't really ready for one.  That, in my opinion was more selfish than anything Bella has ever done to him.

Thanks for reading and reviewing.  XOXO

'Flaming Pink Hell' sounds like a very accurate description of that suite.  I think I'll steer clear of the Palms Hotel.  It sounds way too wild for my tastes.

Bella's roof-top tropical oasis sounds nice.

I agree with Charlotte--'I don't care what anyone says, heels are uncomfortable.  I won't sacrifice comfort for vanity.'  I think that if people's heels were supposed to be off the ground, their feet would look like Barbie's.

Alice, of course your and Jasper's awful sex life was Jasper's fault, because it couldn't possibly be yours.

Good grief!  Alice, Amanda, Irina, and Victoria should have to wear scarlet Hs.  If they watch strippers, they have no right to get mad at their husbands for doing the same thing.  Public or private, it makes no difference--watching strippers is watching strippers.

Swinging for Fitness?  Oh, Alice--anyone with half a brain can figure out that fitness is not why Bella swings from the tree and the pole.

I'm glad Bella and Charlotte are working on their relationship.

I'm so jealous of Jasper and Bella getting the papers and the sword that I'm a lovely shade of emerald green.  I would dearly love to have a real Confederate sword.

Carlisle's mid-life crisis--

First, I love it.  I laughed, and laughed, and laughed.

Second, I agree with Jasper; Carlisle is acting like a teenager.

Carlisle reminds me so much of Janie in 'The Face on the Milk Carton' that I find myself wondering when he's going to change his name.  (Janie added a y to Jane and a t to Johnson to make Jayne Johnston.  Then she added an e to Johnston to make Johnstone.  Then she added a y to Jayne and removed the h from Johnstone to make Jayyne Jonstone.  Her teacher asked her if she was going through an identity crisis.)  Carlisle's name isn't really boring, but I suppose Carlliisle Culenne would be more interesting.

I understand how Carlisle feels.  I've had to be mature, responsible, and practical my whole life, and I'm tired of it.  I want to have a whatever-a-mid-life-crisis-is-called-when-the-one-having-it-is-young.  I want to be immature, irresponsible, rebellious, and impulsive.  Unfortunately, right now I have to be a mature, responsible, practical adult.  It's a real pain.  I'm glad that Carlisle has the opportunity to have a mid-life crisis--for him, and for me--I'm living vicariously.  I wouldn't want to do the same things he's doing, but I would love to do the same kinds of things--move out, act impulsively.

Poor Emmett!  And Rose!  I'm glad they're working on their issues.

Jasper, you and Bella became Carlisle's babysitters because you two are the most responsible.

Carlisle not having any towels reminded me of when Peter moved into his apartment.  I laughed and laughed.

I'm liking Garrett less and less.  (I'm a Confederate sympathizer, a Confederate at heart, and on top of that, I'm fairly pro-monarchy.)

That poor, poor florist!  I was 'thoroughly uncomfortable' too, and I wasn't there.

Four vacuums?!  Merlin's beard!  One is more than enough.  Bella should have gone instead.

And what's with this tanning stuff?  Vampires look much better pale.

I'm glad they were able to restrain Amrita.  That must have been a very, very horrible experience for her.

I love this story.  It's wonderful and hilarious.  I wouldn't at all mind if you decided to make it the story that never ends and post about five (long) chapters every day.  Unfortunately, I have a feeling that's not realistic.

Author's Response:

Maria will be in shock when she encounters the Major and the Captain.  She wants James back too, he he.

Now, Char's gift will play an extremely important role going forward, especially when it comes to Carlisle and Esme.  Remember that Jasper said she's just as powerful as Marcus Volturi.

Felix will be a good ally for Jasper to have, he's a trained Volturi fighter plus he has a military background as well.

Rex is insecure, but he's not afraid to call Bella or Jasper for support.  He truly feels a bond to both of them.  Remember that as a vamp he's a Whitlock too.

Thanks for reading and reviewing.  Can Rex think and strip at the same time?  Find out next.  XOXO

Oh Esme.  I don't even know what to say about her.  She's...awful. 'Mother-in-law from hell' is  a good description.  Her point of view in Chapter 45 made me want to vomit.  I'm glad Irina, Bella, Riley, Amrita, Eleazar, and Peter gave her pieces of their minds.  I doubt that she actually listened, though.

Who is Amanda's father?

I'm glad Jasper's team won the paintball match.

I'm glad that Carlisle and Esme aren't mates anymore.  Carlisle doesn't deserve to have to put up with her.

Rosalie is right.  One needs to have one's own identity.  One's children being one's identity is not healthy.

I can't believe how bad Bella is at math.  Even I, who can't stand math, and pretty much flunked algebra, can add (and subtract--and multiply and divide, too, somewhat) in my head.

Good grief!  Victoria sure is something else when she's drunk.

No rides in Lotuses with Riley driving for me.  My favourite speed is 'stop', so my reaction would be about the same as Bella's.

'The next time I visit Daddy at his grave, I'm telling on you!'  I love this line.  I absolutely love this line.

Not again!!  How come the guys always manage to get themselves skunked?!

Can Bella work at Newton's again?  Something fun always happens when she works there.  I love that she got Rich to spend so much money.  He deserved it.

Oh for goodness' sake.  Screaming over grenades, really?  Don't pull the pin.  I probably wouldn't want them stored in my house, but they aren't something to scream over.  After all, candles have open flames.

I think Charlotte is right.  'Be proud of whatever assets God gave you'.

Guys: 1. Shooting is not difficult.   2. Hunting and knowing how to use a gun are not the same thing.

I'm so jealous of Bella.  I would love to get a gun and permit for my birthday.

Eighty-six pages?!  Oh my goodness.  That is a bit long.

I really don't think Alistair was at fault at all.  I think Esme is the only one at fault.  I don't care if she deluded herself into thinking that Carlisle and Bella had sex because of a mental collapse or jealousy or whatever, she's still to blame.  I don't think counseling will do her much good because the impression I've gotten is that deep down, she doesn't truly want to change.  I feel sorry for Alistair, having to put up with her.  And frankly, I'd really prefer it if Esme was miserable, and didn't 'find true happiness'.  Although if you need a good guy to kill off, please kill her off instead of someone else.  After Chelsea breaks the bond so that Alistair doesn't have to suffer.

Maria being on Facebook is hilarious.  And smart.

No frat parties for me.  No way.

I love the scene with Pierre and Jessica.

Poor Rose!  That was awful!

I'm definitely steering clear of the Palms Hotel.

Chelsea is something else.  And way too talkative.

Lauren being nice was a nice surprise.  I like this Lauren.

I'm glad Rex and Tony could meet.  I think it's good for them.

No amount of money is too much when it comes to Legos.

I would say that I was completely lost after 'I prefer the TIGI Bedhead line for shampoo', but I was completely lost in Chapter 47 at 'over a hundred bucks'.  I use whatever shampoo my mother buys--usually Mill Creek--and the boar bristle hairbrush I've been using for at least fifteen years.  And I only wash my hair when it needs it.

I'm glad Tony was changed.  I think it's good that he and Rex have each other.  I think it's good that Bella and Rosalie changed Claude.  He and Tony should not have to be apart.  I wondered if Tony was an incubus when all the women were so drawn to him.

Okay, we've destroyed the diary, the ring, and the locket, now we just have to take care of the cup, the diadem, and the snake.

Rule number one: In an emergency, don't panic.  Panicking causes mistakes.  Mistakes cause disaster.

I looked up the average snowfall for Cheboygan.  When they're done with the property, can I have it?

Rule number two: Do not completely trust Alice's visions.  They are not perfect!!

Rule number three: Preparation is the key to success--preparation for things going wrong.

Jasper, Peter, and Alice: Well, well, well, Captain Bligh--looks like you've got a potential mutiny on your hands.  You'd better 1) start using your heads, and 2) start groveling to Fletcher.  If you don't, I can guarantee that Bella and everyone else will do their own planning and take down Maria--after she finishes you and your henchmen off.  And did it ever occur to you that maybe, just maybe, Maria is feeding you false information and sitting somewhere laughing at how stupid you are?  After all, you yourself, Jasper, said 'You have to have a brain to become a powerful dictator, Rose.'   A wise man once said,'we are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.  Lord Voldemort's gift for spreading discord and enmity is very great.  We can fight it only by showing an equally strong bond of friendship and trust.'

If Charlie and Sue are going to visit unannounced, they should expect that their children will be busy.  And since their children all have mates, Charlie and Sue should expect that their children will be busy in their bedrooms.  Although, knowing these guys, Charlie and Sue should count themselves lucky that Felix and Leah weren't in the living room.

'You're such a good boy compared to that...that...that...brute upstairs with Leah.'  Really, Sue.  So you and Charlie are models of celibacy?  And what do you think the 'good boy' was doing when you arrived?  And frankly, you arrived unannounced-which, by the way, is extremely rude-, so you have no right whatsoever to make judgements. Your lack of planning does not constitute a crisis on their part.

Somehow I don't think Peter's idea of 'Clean Love in Courtship' is the same as the nuns'.

I'm so glad Emmett and Rosalie are here.

From the impression I've gotten of Emmett's personality in the books, I think being a computer hacker suits him.

Carlisle is just-EEEEWWWWW.  Besides being gross, he's awful.  I can think of several Death Eaters I like more.  E. g. Bellatrix.  At least she doesn't pretend to be good.  Her attitude screams: 'I'm mean and nasty, I'm going to be mean and nasty to you, and I'm going to thoroughly enjoy every single moment of it.'

I'm glad that they don't judge each other.  The world needs more people like that.  Besides, they look better with red eyes.

Good for Emily!  Jacob-in-the-books was generally a sweet kid, but this Jacob is a jerk.

I laughed and laughed picturing Garrett and Paul in a buggy.  At least Garrett was wearing a suit, not shorts, but even so, it wasn't exactly period fashion.

Oh, ew!!!  I agree with Bella-there's no telling what diseases Carlisle, Charlotte, Alice, and Buckley have.  I'd throw the mattress away, though.  Ugh, ugh, ugh!  The thought of anyone using that mattress for anything after Carlisle, Charlotte, Alice, and Buckley used it, turns my stomach.  Vampires may not get diseases, but I wouldn't take any chances with Carlisle, Charlotte, Alice, and Buckley.

Poor Jasper.  I'd feel like a dork, too.

An essay on the Civil War stating how it was a war between Canada and the United States?!  Good grief!  What do they teach them in these schools?!

The arrest and police station scene was hilarious!  I agree with Bella-it's Garrett's fault.  Poor Charlie!  (I'm still irritated that he and Sue were so unreasonable, but I do feel sorry for him.)  I tell you, my mother doesn't realize how lucky she is.  (I was, and still am, ridiculously well-behaved.  It is partly because I was trained to be well-behaved, so my mother is partly correct, but it's mostly because that's the kind of person I am.)

Oh no!!  Whoever wasn't pregnant before will be now.  The census people are going to be scratching their heads.

Author's Response:

Don't worry about Charlie and Sue, they're more in shock about seeing their daughter in that position more than anything.  *wink*

Pete's idea of 'Clean Love in Courtship' is hygiene, for the nuns--it's purity.  By the way, that's an actual pamphlet.

FYI, Edward is just as bad as Carlisle is.  Actually they all are.  Just wait til you see how Jane deals with Alice.

Thanks for reading and reviewing.  XOXO

I can't wait to see Victoria's reaction!  I love that Bella likes to get a rise out of Victoria.  It reminds me of the time I told my grandmother that we had dog food for supper.  Her reaction was priceless.  Then I explained that we'd gotten a book about home-cooked dog food, and I had modified one of the recipes.

This chapter was hilarious.  I loved it, and can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response:

I'm so glad Jasper is a man again.  I thought he probably would become a man again, but I was still a bit worried.

I'm not sure if I like the Jasper/Victoria pairing (I really don't like Jasper paired with anyone but Bella-though occasionally I'll read a Jasper/Bella/Edward pairing-), but I don't think it will lessen  my enjoyment of the story any.

I'm so glad I don't live with Victoria, Riley, and Bree--Victoria's job would drive me crazy.  I think it's a good idea for her, but it's not something I could stand to be around.  Speaking of Victoria's job, I wonder if Jasper is going to be comfortable with it.  I know it's acting, and that acting isn't real, but if I had a mate, I don't think I would be comfortable if my mate had that kind of job.  I hope that he is comfortable with it, or, if he isn't, they have no problems finding a solution they're both happy with.

I loved Garrett's use of 'doxy' and 'strumpet'.  I read the chapter, and then later realized that I hadn't batted an eyelash over them.  I guess I've read more historical fiction than I thought.

I love Alice's mate's surname!  It's a perfect fit for someone mated to Alice.

Alice gets called a pixie so much, that 'elf' is a nice change.

Alice is absolutely right--it would ruin her, Charlotte's, and the Cullens' reputations if her and Charlotte's ex-husbands were good people.

Poor Sue.  Her reaction was quite entertaining, though.  Is she going to knit sweaters for Jane and Felix?

Jasper projected through the entire town?!  And six and a half days?! Oh my goodness.  I would say that he needs to work on not projecting lust, but I suppose he was a bit preoccupied.

I agree with Charlie that guys like that are generally irredeemable.  The best thing to do is to make them lunch, instead of leaving them alive to potentially wreak more havoc, and take up space and money.

'Excuse me.' Jasper growled.

'Oak trees in the back about three miles.  They need firewood!' Garrett yelled.

I laughed so hard over that!  Every time I think of it, I start laughing all over again.

I send congratulations to Peter and Bella.  I'm glad he didn't do some sort of icky, romantic proposal.  Those proposals usually turn my stomach, and I don't think they're really Bella's cup of tea, either.

The story is wonderful, and hilarious, and I want more.  If you were to make it the story that never ends, and post about five chapters a day, I wouldn't object.  Unfortunately, I have a feeling that's not realistic.

Jasper and Vicky will be good for each other.  Jasper needs honesty and, if anything, Vicky is brutally honest.  Our new vamp/wolf pairing will benefit this family greatly--especially with regards to the elf and her visions.  You'll learn bits and pieces about the Cullens until Garrett and Leah go to Los Angeles and speaks Carlisle himself.  I loved writing the part about the tree.  I so needed a vampire this winter when a tree fell in my driveway.

Oh, and regarding the "doxy" and the "strumpet"--I read way too much historical fiction.

Peter and Bella go to Walmart next.  Thanks for reading and reviewing.  XOXO
