There lives are so messed up. That is what you get when you cheat and you lie. Just stop that, tell the truth and when you can not because of hurting someone's feelings then just be quiet.
Even if Jasper knew why Edward kissed Tanya. At this point it makes no difference who did what. He should have never done that. PERIOD He just has to say why he did it and he knows it was wrong and he has regretted that decision ever since. He hates Tanya.
I say buy that damn Mansion and then give it to Bella. Just for her if that is what she always wanted. Or buy it and then keep quiet about it until she is more receptive.

Edward is sorry he did what he did. He actually admitted he was wrong in the earlier chaps. However, he is having a hard time accepting that Bella won't be coming back to him.

Bella decided to leave her college life when she was twenty one to tend to her family and matters she was forced to deal with head on. Four years later, she goes back to finish her degree. She is a very serious student and wants to focus on her degree adn the mystery she is hiding.
Once back in Boston, she meets a kind stranger at her work who seems interested in her. Her lousy teacher's assistant is hot, but seems to be a bit conceited. What roll will each of these men play in her life?
Secrest are dealt with in Boston head on and feelings are explored. Follow Bella as she finishes her degree and tries to learn how to with living a life once her secrets are reveled.

Oddly enough, you've proven my point. When an author gives only small bits of information, mostly based on hearsay, and entirely from one character's perspective, readers tend to jump to conclusions based on other stories they've read. While I'm tempted to correct the points you've made, doing so here would simply spoil it for everyone else, and honestly, I'm having far too much fun watching everyone jump to conclusions.
