Bella giggled looking up at me through her lashes. “Your such a dork, Edward.”

I grinned wrapping my arms around waist, trapping her between the tree and me. “But I'm your dork, Bella.”

She smiled lifting her arms around my neck. “Always...” She whispered before her eyes filled with tears as she stared at me. “...But you have to let me go, Edward. You have to really let me go. It's time for you to move on, really move on. Tanya loves you, Edward. Your hers now.”

“I'm scared.” I admitted looking down at her. “I don't want to forget you.”

She smiled placing her hand over my heart. “There's no reason to be scared, Edward. I'll always be with you. In here. But I'm gone now, and Tanya is waiting for you. She will make you very happy, and she will give you all the things you want in life. A wife, a family, the white picket fence and the Labrador named It.”

“But-” I began but she covered my lips with her finger.

“Why must you be so stubborn.” She giggled as she stroked my cheek. “Your heart is pure, it's filled with love and kindness. It's the best thing about you. Don't wast any more of your love on me, I got my share of it when I was alive. It's Tanya's turn now. She's good for you.”

“I love you.” I whispered swallowing the lump in my throat. “But I love her too.”

“And that's okay.” Bella smiled ducking under my arm and walking off towards our meadow. “Be happy, Edward. That's all I want for you. I want you to have everything you want; just be happy.”

A story about a young girl alone in an ally with her newborn baby and the kind woman and family who took her in and gave her a family. A sweet yet heart breaking story with an oh so beautiful happy ending. I had posted this under a different name but got no luck, so I hope you all enjoy this one shot because it really is a beautiful story about family, love, and accepting the past.

"It seems neither of us could keep our promise." Edward smiled sitting cross legged in front of me. He was dressed in his uniform looking as handsome as they day I last saw him.

"I tried, Edward." I whispered looking up into his green eyes. "I've missed you."

He smiled reaching his hand out for mine. "I've missed you to my love."

"Are you here to take me to heaven?" I asked knowing that was the only option if he was here.

He nodded his head sadness in his eyes. "Yes."

"Will I get to stay with you?"

He smiled and squeezed my hand gently as he pulled me to my feet. "Yes."

For the first time I felt something other than emptiness. It had been awhile but I knew the things I was feeling were joy, love and hope. Thing's I had avoided my whole life. I looked down at myself and saw I had the body of a 19 year old, I was wearing the clothes I'd worn the day I said goodbye to my soldier and my hair was no longer grey, it was a rich chocolate brown.

I looked back at the old lady sleeping peacefully in her 9 thousand dollar bed, and knew she had had enough of this world. She wanted to go home to her soldier, she wanted to know real love and hope for a future that could have them together always.

"I'm ready." I said looking back at Edward. "Take me home, soldier."

Bella is fresh out of college and is coming back to Fork's high to replace her favourite teacher. Now she's all grown up they can give into the forbidden desires they denied themselves when she was his favourite student.

Part1, It's been 80 years since Edward left in New Moon and Bella is now an elderly woman surrounded by her friends and family, her last wish is to see Alice before she dies and in hopes of that Alice will come she writes both a letter to her lost love and to her best friend and their family.

Part 2, The Cullen's are coping with the death of their beloved daughter, sister, and soul mate. Back home in Alaska the family sit down and prepare for the letter left for Alice to read to the family. Edward's letter is a little more personal and leaves him wanting to join his love.
