I am a 38� year-old woman that is fascinated by the power of words.� The reactions they get from people are amazing.� The way they can make an indelible mark on a person's consciousness and motivate that same person to action, negatively or positively, means that the writer has to be very conscience of the words he or she uses.� That makes writing a big deal to me.� :)
I don't know if the phrase "I want to be a better writer" really encompasses all that I want.� I want to be unafraid to use the words I need to use for the character that's in my head.� I have seen some very courageous writers on these sites and they've encouraged me to take a chance.� :)

I really liked this chapter and I can definitely relate to it. I was raised to believe if you marry outside of your faith you are unevenly yoked, as well. My mother was a Jehovah's Witness and my father wasn't. There were problems. I loved them both, but they didn't have the type of marriage that I would want. So, I can understand her father's viewpoint about building a solid foundation and the relationship being statistically unlikely to work.
On the other hand, being that Bella's parents are in an interracial relationship should make them both sensitive to people telling her that her relationship is bound to fail. If he doesn't support her, that's going to make her more determined to stay in the relationship out of stubbornness. She's a grown woman. She doesn't need his blessing and he's going to lose his daughter over it.
As far was what Edward says...I just hope the anger management is working out for him...lol It wouldn't help his case to get into an argument with her father. The only thing he could really say is that even if Rev. Swan doesn't trust him, he should trust his daughter's judgement, at least.

Thank you! I know how it is to struggle against decisions that war against your beliefs, which is why I put this scenario in the story. Charlie, unfortunately, had to be the character to bring to the story that dramatic tension. He will come around eventually, believe me.

Summary
Renesmee and Jacob have just married and Edward and Bella are free to enroll in yet another university, where they plan to follow a course of classical studies. Suddenly Edward leaves and Bella is confused and totally alone. However, she is sure of his love and fears that something terrible might have occurred. It has. Indeed something happened when Carlisle was in Rome in the 17th century and now all the Cullens have to pay for it. A Latin myth opens for Bella the road that might allow for her to rescue them.
As I am a disaster with inserting characters, they are: Bella, Edward, Carlisle, Aro, the Cougar, all the Cullens and the Hon. Salvi Donati.
I am thinking to stop posting the story unless I get some reviews. If readers don't like it, then so be it. I am surprised because on Twilighted net and ff net it was well liked. I now post Chapter 9, and see what happens.

Bella Swan works as a nurse at Cook County Hospital in the ER. She's older and desperate for love. It's hindered by her shy personality and plump body. Her father, whom she lives with, teases her relentlessly for being fat and single.
Edward Cullen, thirty-three, is hired as a doctor in the ER. He's getting over a divorce. He moved to Chicago to be closer to his family: sister, Rosalie, and brother, Jasper. Rosalie is younger than Edward by ten years and is struggling with an eating disorder brought on by a heinous rape of her ex-boyfriend. Jasper, twenty-seven, is finishing up his doctorate in history.
Bella is charmed by this new doctor in the ER. He's kind and thinks about his patients and maintains a friendly rapport with the nurses and orderlies. Edward is intrigued by the sad nurse who does her job efficiently but doesn't have a sparkle in her eyes.
Will she allow Dr. Cullen into her life or will she let her insecurities get in the way of her happiness. Perhaps, Dr. Feelgood can write her a prescription. A prescription for love...

I love your story. :D I just wanted to give you a tiny heads up and it's not critical at all. When a judge sets bail the defendent is only required to pay 10% and he or she gets it back if they show up for the trial date. If they don't show up, then they have to pay the whole amount. Bail is just an assurance that the defendent will show up. It's not punitive because people are innocent until proven guilty. Although, I don't think this Charlie could pay $25,000 either, so it's not a big deal at all. :D I just thought you might want to know that for future reference.
