Parachute ~ Chapter 36 Teaser:
Bella stood, drenched head to toe, in the middle of her front lawn. Hot tears streamed down her face as the chilly rain pelted her skin. Her mouth was open slightly in shock, as she gazed down with wide eyes at the man she loved more than life itself. Edward's hopeful, joyous face grinned up at her from his stance on one knee. The ring held in his hand was a single brilliant diamond that was simple, yet elegant.
"Isabella Swan, I have been captivated by you since the moment I first laid eyes on you. That love only grew and expanded as I got to know you and saw first hand what a wonderful mother you are to our son. Forever could never be long enough for me, to feel like I've had long enough with you. Marry me?"
She covered her mouth and let out a sob, before throwing her arms around him and shouting, "Yes!"
They fell together, a mass a limbs and lips, their hearts beating both beating wildly. He pulled away slightly and pushed a lock of rain-saturated hair from her face.
"Let's go inside, please. I don't want you to catch a cold."
When they stood, his eyes were drawn to her white shirt, now completely plastered against her bare breasts, her nipples hard and straining against the fabric. His hand reached out to brush against her breast, causing her to become self conscious and cross her arms across her chest. She laughed lightly and nodded her head towards the house.
"Come on, let's get dry."
Edward let out a loud guffaw. "I'd rather keep you wet, love."
His hands wrapped around her waist and he pulled her back to his chest as they tumbled into the house. Sopping wet clothes soon littered the foyer floor and hands roamed greedily.
"Where is our bedroom?" he asked huskily, sweeping her into his arms.

Yay!!! Thanks, Hunny!! I know I feel for him in that aspect and I beg him to tell the truth, but I think he's protecting Bella. He wants to be more with her and he doesn't want people to make snap judgments about her before they get a chance to know her. He's stalling. Hopefully, he talks with Bella...soon.

When I got back to Bella she was half awake thanks to Seth’s persistence, I sat on the edge of the couch looking down at her.
“Hey” my fingers ran along the line of her jaw.
“Hi. Do I smell food” I smiled at her
“You do. Are you hungry?”
“Starving” she admitted while she sat up “It’s weird because I ate lunch”
“Yeah well that was four hours ago and your body worked really hard on the way home” her lip went between her teeth while her face flushed pink. I chuckled at her response “What are you thinking?”
“I’m thinking about my reward. I get a reward.” Bella’s whole face lit up and her eyes sparkled.

We sat a little longer talking about some of the things she would like to do there. I had not been to Victoria in a long time and there were some new attractions that were possibilities for us to see. I thought it was a good time to bring up the extended stay at the beach. Bella seemed very opened to that possibility, made all the more attractive because both hotels allowed pets.
“When you talk to Alice would you get the name of the hotel so I can sort of figure out what the cost is going to be” The statement was harmless enough but my answer must not have been.
“I got it Bella you don’t have to worry about paying” her eyes narrowed
“Edward I’m not going to let you pay for the whole thing. We’re both going we’ll both pay”
“I’m the one that suggested the long trip, I got it” I watched as the resentfulness rolled across her face.
“This is not up for discussion, I’m paying my half”
What does she mean half are we going to split the cost of meals?

Once again.. I am a mess.. I have been so caught up in all of Bella's stuff, that I didn't even think about how hard this would be on Edward. Now, I am worried that she pushed him into doing what he did, and he is going to regret it.
SO.. I have to ask.. or beg...or plead... Please tell me there will not be a "New Moon" episode where Edward leaves her because he can't be what she wants him to be. I literally think I would DIE.

Maybe a sister was raped by him and died... or something. He is pissed because he knows Bella knows, and won't turn him in. OHH.. maybe Heather is his wife.. and she was cheating on him with James.. ohh the possiblities.
Did Bella tell Edward her Heather theories? I know she told him the Officer Hawk theories.

I should have expected that she would have a nightmare, the trauma of having our home invaded was enough to unnerve me, I can only guess what memories it stirred in her. Removing my shirt that was full of tears and dirty from her nose I laid back down with her head on my chest. “We’ll change the locks tomorrow and figure out who it was, that will make you feel safer. It was just a dream Bella, I swear I would die before I let anyone hurt you.”
“Don’t say that!”
I wasn’t sure what she was talking about when she abruptly shot her head up to look at me. “I couldn’t stand it if something happened to you. I couldn’t take it”
Even in the darkness of the room I could see the fierceness in Bella’s eyes as the tears fell down her face. “Nothing is going to happen to me, and nothing is going to happen to you. Now stop with the tears and lets go back to sleep”
Cupping her face my thumb wiped away the tears as she nuzzled her cheek against my palm before turning her head to placing a soft kiss in the center of my hand. “Do you think I’m crazy?”
“No…” why the hell would I think that?
“…I think it was a stressful night and I think you have a lot on your mind and have dealt with more in your life then any one person should have to deal with. I told you before baby, I think you are the strongest person I know; a lesser person would have called it quits a long time ago. Now let’s go back to sleep, I have a promise to keep to a dog”

why yes you were... lol. Great chapter. I do since a little bit of her hesitation... or anxiety over if she is or isn't supposed to tell Edward certain things. I worry that will lead to resentment in the future. Not sure how to handle that, but for sure HE needs to communicate exactly what he expects from her. Twice in the chapter he got a little upset over her talking to Jane. BUT he has yet to tell her that she should check with him before meeting with her, in fact just the opposite.
I think Edward is confused about what HE wants. Just my observation. This is such a good look into our insecurities.. Isn't it. love it.

Author's Response: I wouldn't say tha Edward was upset that Bella is talking to Jane, It is just that he had spent all morning with Jane and she never said anything about talking to Bella, and I think he was surprised to see that they are talking as much as they are...and as long as it is on the calendar ... (I'm a calendar person - I have a large family with a lot going on, everything goes on the calendar. If it is not on there- it doesn't happen ---that is my rational behind Bella's calendar) anyway as long as it's noted then he's happy about that and then as long as she logs their conversation in her journal then he's --A ok.... BYW - we all have insecurities and it's such a great thing when someone helps to make them not so scary

Leaving out a long sigh I focused really hard on opening the twist tie that held the bread wrapper closed. Edward moved with me and as he passed by to get the wine out of the cooler his hand ran down the length of my arm. The extra sensation from his touch made my muscles clench tighter and I think I let out a whimper because Rose glanced at me with a smirked.

I needed something else to occupy my mind and it didn’t matter what it was “Jasper” I looked up from the two loaves of bread “could you turn on some music?”
“Sure…anything in particular?” he asked moving to a panel in the wall. Before I could answer Emmett made an observation.
“You alright little Bella, you seem a kind of jumpy tonight” Edward’s voice came from behind me.
“Isabella’s been jumpy all weekend”
“I have not!” the words left my mouth without any thought of the repercussions they might cause. Emmett chuckled and a small giggle came from Rose who was standing next to me, but my eyes went to Edward. His face became stone cold hardness while his eyes widened as they turned dark.

do something wrong = punishment. It is not as if he whipped her ass. A simple essay on what she needed to learn and time by herself, will help them both. SIMPLE
To a certain degree she punishes him as well. He didn't return from the phone call from Esme and her tears made him feel horrible. SIMPLE.
What we "vanilla" people do is hold onto our shit and anger too long.. and it blows up into a huge fight. Get it out.. take care of the problem...forgive each other.. SEE SIMPLE

It is simple and everyone always says that He gets away with everything, but he doesn't it kills him when he lets her down, but he doesn't hold on to the hurt. Because in his mind it happened, he aplogized (his punishment) , he learns from it and they move on,,,that's the same way he treats her, but she berates herself ((she did, she's learning not to do that anymore)) alot longer ..she's learning to let it go...

Edward was pulling into the parking lot that was across the street from the main entrance. He didn’t say anything else until he held my door open for me taking my hand and pulling me closer to him. “I am sorry about my behavior”
I smiled at him “You girl forgives you”
His face moved closer to mine as he spoke “My girl is more tolerant then I deserve”
“Never” as I said the word his lips brushed against mine, it was a sweet chaste kiss. When he pulled back his eyes held a tenderness in them as he palmed the side of my face.
“Remember your task and speak to no one other then family members”

“Come let’s get this over with so we can get home” I nodded in agreement following behind him with my eyes down. As we approached the entrance Edward spoke with the guy at the door.
“Tyler, how is the night going?”
“Edward, actually it’s been busy, it’s game night”
Edward groaned “damn I forget about that”
Tyler chuckled as we moved into the club telling us to have fun, I wasn’t sure what game night was but it appeared I was about to find out.

“About what?” she truly didn’t know what I meant, so I held up her arm. Bella’s face fell “Oh”
I kept staring at her while she sat back down in her seat, waiting for her to start talking. Whatever happened she didn’t want to tell me, but I wasn’t giving her a choice I wanted, no I needed to know. Finally she sighed and started talking.
“I don’t know what you want me to say Edward I handled it, ingeniously I thought, I let her know that I wasn’t going to take any of her shit while still obeying you. Did I do wrong? Were you mad at me?”
Was I mad at her?
I figured I would let her answer her own question “Did you get punished?”
Bella shook her head at my question so I asked another one “Were you rewarded?”
The sweetest smile and blush broke out over her face “Several times” she admitted, making me chuckle, but I needed her to know something.

Excusing myself I went into the kitchen to check in dinner, everything was done so after pulling the chicken out of the oven - to allow it to rest - I started putting the other stuff into serving bowls. The sound of the kitchen door swinging open made me turn to see who was there, and I smiled as Aro joined me.
“Isabella I don’t wish to disturb you, but may I speak with you for a minute?”
Not wanting to be rude I stopped what I was doing. “Yes Sir, do you need something?”
“No..no, please continue, I can talk while you work.” I asked him to give me a second while I took the Corn Pie out of the oven because I didn’t want him talking to my back. Once it was out I gave him my attention.
Eyeing the pie I had just removed he smiled at me warmly “It’s nice to see you so carefree around everyone. You seem much more confident and I must admit it does me good to see that. You are young and need to laugh more.”

I got in big trouble too, I was in a state park and i found a rock that I liked ((becasue that's what i do)) and a Ranger came yelled at me and told me I was "Raping' the ecological system of the park ....Not kidding ...but as soon as he left ...I took the rock anyway...lol....an i think you are the only one who wants to see how Edward is going to handle the noises...everyone else is like ... why can't he just let her go ...lol....((Because he can't! she has to STOP that))....

Leah went into the bathroom while Bella came around the corner into the kitchen. Our eyes met immediately as a warm smile engulfed her face. It was clear she had been crying and it took everything I had in me to remain in the chair and not run to comfort her. Sue looked up as she started putting food on the table then went over to hug Bella just as I wanted to. Bella nodded at whatever Sue was saying then left her go so she could say hello to her father.

Because there wasn't a physical attack on his mother. When elizabeth was given those inducers, it just broke her blood, and the baby was ready to come out. His defenses were down, and in that slight moment of confusion that infants have when that light hits them for the first time, Cauis staked his claim. even though edward will be able to mind read, caius will be very careful with his thoughts. Remember in twilight, how Ed said, you can make yourself believe a lie. Caius does just that. You'll see, if i'm not making any sense lol But,
Ed's brother was a runt. Competition for space and food. Had Elizabeth lived and have a *vampire* vaginal birth, jasper would've been killed in the dominance to be born. Twin males are territorial, and usually only the strong survive, but because of the c-section (of sorts) Jasper had a chance to live. Edward only concern was being born, and getting out. He has no bond to his brother, had Jasper been a girl, they would've been born safely. Male twins in my fiction, don't survive to full term, meaning the pregnacy might start with two males, and all the time end with one. Edward and Jasper are the first of their kind to survive a fraternal pregnancy, but there won't be a bond, however Edward's presence will be so strong that jasper sometimes that jazz won't be able to be in the same room as him. jazz is the runt of the litter so to speak a weakling, but he's just as mean as edward, he doesn't cower to anybody but his brother.

In the womb, yes male vamp twins are brutal, but Edwards entire opinion about Jasper being weak is external conditioning. Think about it this way, had Elezar brought the boys up, it would be a whole 360 from chapter 6. There would've been rivalry, but there would've been love as well. The entire species has it's views on strength and weakness, but Caius is by far the worst, he's a power hungry bastard! So Jasper has only been seen and treated a certain way in Edward's eyes. Not too mention Edward gets reward when he treats Jasper a certain way too. I know Caius is a bastard lmao. You won't be swinging those ponytails with Team Jasper for long. I have huge plans for him!
