Chapter 7 preview……

Chapter 16 pre-view.

EPOV

I am brought out of my thoughts by Bella getting up from beside me on the sofa.

“I think that we are going to head upstairs for the night.  Peter, what time will you be back from the office tomorrow?”  Bella asks.

“I only have to go in for a lunch meeting.  I will be home by two,” Peter replies.

“Okay, Master Peter, can we meet around four, to go over the rules?”

“Yes, that works well.  Are you prepared for tonight?”

“Yes,” Bella replies.

With a nod, Master Peter shows his agreement.

We all bid each other a goodnight, and Bella hugs Charlotte.  We go upstairs and enter into our room, and Bella turns to me immediately. 

“Do you agree to submit your entire being to me tonight?”

“Yes, Ma’am,” I reply.

“Are you clear on the rules for tonight?”

“Yes, Ma’am,” I reply. 

“I stocked the room across the hall with the things you would need to use to be prepared.  Be in the playroom in one hour.  Be kneeling, and ready for a full inspection.”

“Yes, Ma’am,” I say as I move back out the door.

I have read several poly stories and if written well, the situation didn't bother me, but only if every one was happy with the situation.  This is only fiction.  I mean, I wouldn't want to share my husband or be a slave or get kidnapped when I was 14 to get sent to another planet.  Anyway, it really caused a problem with my readers on FF, so I changed it.  Alice and Jasper are only side characters in my story and it was easier to change the situation, than endure the negative comments.  Writing fan fiction is supposed to be fun, not stressing.  Thanks for the review!  I hope you continue to read my story!

Bella is definitely going to have a hard time coping with Edward's death. She's stronger than you think though and she will do what she needs to to move on without him. “Mrs. Jones, what do you think he’s doing right now,” I asked dreamily.

She chuckled again. “If I know that boy, he is in his room right now thinking of you.”

“Do you really think so?” I asked, never taking my eyes off the clouds.

“Miss Bella, that boy has been thinking of you since the two of you were babies. He will not be stopping now just because you aren’t near him.”

A smile grew on my face as I thought of Edward lying in his bed, ankles crossed, hands linked together under his head, hopefully with a smile on his face while he thought about me.  I rolled my head to the side to see Mrs. Jones.

“I just wish he knew how much I love him and how much I want to be with him right now.” I sighed.

“He knows, Miss Bella.” Her grin crossed her entire face. “He knows because he loves you just as much.”

Aww I'm so sorry I made you cry. This was one of the hardest chapters I've had to write for this story. Bella was completely devastated and there was no way she would have been able to stay in that house without going crazy. But she's off on her own now and her life is going to be very very different. Here's a quick peek at what Edward's been up to while he's been away:

"Edward...Son, please stay calm and let me explain."

"Do not ever call me that," I growled, as I grabbed his hand. "I am not your son."

I threw his hand away from me and was completely taken aback when his body flew across the room.

"Edward," his voice was still calm, "I know you don't understand, but I need you to calm down and let me explain. There's so much to tell you and we need to tend to your thirst."

"Tend to my thirst?" The words didn't match with his previous statement. "How will you tend to my thirst if you claim water will not help?" I growled. "And what promise did you make? To whom? How did I not die along with my parents?" In my anger, each question came out faster than the one before it. "Where am I? What did you do to me? How can I...?"

"Enough!" His voice rang with authority, cutting me off mid-sentence.

He began pacing again, one arm across his chest and the other resting on that arm while his fingers pinched the bridge of his nose.

"You must feed, Edward. It is the most important thing right now. So I'll tell you the one thing that will be the hardest for me to explain."

"Feed?" I asked, confused by his word.

He ignored me and continued.

"You asked me what I've done to you. You asked me why you didn't die with your parents."

The speed of his pacing increased as he continued to speak, not once looking at me while the words flowed from him.

"The simplest answer is...you did."

Living on the streets is never good, especially in that time, but Bella and her friends are taking care of each other the best they can. Going home is never an option for her. I sat down at the counter right in front of her and she stared at me with her hands on her hips. I knew better than to say a word before she did, so we sat in silence for several minutes. She was definitely better at this game than Mrs. Jones was, she would have cracked by now and told me what she wanted. I was getting nervous, fidgeting on the stool and wringing my hands together until finally she took pity on me and spoke.

"Sweetie, what are you doing with kids like that?" She shook her head. "You're a good girl, sweetheart, and they're nothin' but trouble."

I didn't know how to answer without telling her the truth. I had to think fast.

What would Lizzy say?

And then it came to me. "I met them on one of my trips to the city with my Aunt. We became friends and I come and visit them all the time now."

She narrowed her eyes at me and I knew she didn't believe my story.

Maybe, maybe not. You'll just have to wait and see :)
