What I'm up to...
I'm always writing. I promise that I have not forgotten my Charlie/Renee fic Separate Ways. I'm taking my time to get it right. I also want to be ahead a few chapters before I start posting. You all know how much I love the character Charlie so I could never abandon him. His story needs to be told.
TheSpoiltOne has dragged me into the world of Harry Potter. I must say that I'm having a blast. TSO is so much fun to write with and Draco is a fun character. I think I'll like writing him as much as I like writing Edward and Charlie
My Bio
What to say about me? Well I'm 40 something and happily married to the love of my life. We have been married for 26 years. I can not believe he has put up with me for that long. We have two wonderful sons.
Fanfiction has become a huge part of my life. I started reading it in June of 2008. I was in desperate need of something to fill the void while waiting for Breaking Dawn to come out. I was amazed at how talented the writers in this fandom are.
A dear friend of mine encouraged me to start writing. I am so glad he did. I wrote the Prologue and first chapter of My Sacrifice August of 2008. I agonized over posting them. I finally broke down, found a beta, and started posting My Sacrifice in October 2008. I was shocked that people actually liked it. Now I have a two complete stories and about five one shots.
My beta is Birdee18. She is awesome. My stories would be a mess if it was not for her amazing red pen. She has become a dear friend. I loved reading her stories and just asked her to look over my prologue and let me know what she thought about it and if she could suggest a beta for me. She watched her son carefully as he made his way downstairs, with Alice by his side. Something wasn't right. Sure, he was smiling and acting jovial, but there was something that was just off. Their gazes met and her worry increased exponentially. Jack's eyes were dull and missing his usual spark.
She pulled him quietly to the side and whispered in his ear.
"What's wrong, baby?"
He smiled genuinely at her and shook his head.
"Nothing, Mom. I'm just a little nervous."
She narrowed her eyes and nodded, although she wasn't convinced that he was telling the truth, but starting an argument right now wasn't really an option at the moment.

I had tears in my eyes when Jack called Bella Mommy. That was so sweet. Him calling Charlie Pops melted my heart too. Things seem to be falling into place for them. Why do I have a feeling the courts are going to require an indepth search for Jack's biological parents before they allow the adoption and that is how they finally found the Cullens. I'm sad because it's time to leave work and I have to stop reading for now. I'll be back with more reviews in a few hours ;)

Ok, so the adoption isn't the reason she finds the Cullen's. Since that is ruled out I will guess that one of the Cullen's see the book or hear about it if Tanya gets it set up for her support a foundation to hep abandoned and abducted children.
OMG, Renee really pissed me off. I'm glad Phil made an effort with Bella.
I'm so excited and nervous to be catching up with the prologue.

I love that everyone sees what's going on between Bella and Edward. Yeah they are both falling fast.
Yeah, I think Bella needed to know about Jake being out and where he was. She would've totally avoided the Olympia area if she knew that.
What is up with Marcus? Does he know more about the situation with Victoria and Jack than he let on? Did he just recognize Bella from her books? Did he put two and two together about her and Jack from her books? OMG, I'm dying to know.
I've thoroughly enjoyed reading this story over the past day and can't begn to tell you how much I've fallen in love with all of your characters especially Jack.

Jack curled up with Bella on the couch opposite of Edward, who was propped up with a ton of pillows. Her hand absentmindedly ran through the boy's hair and he hummed a contented sound. She heard a soft laugh come from Edward and looked up to see that he was smiling adoringly at her and Jack.
'Is it worth it?' She thought. 'Is potentially falling in love with him worth the heartache I'll feel at the end of the summer?'
His eyes moved up to hers and sent her a brilliant smile that made her breath catch in her throat.
The better question to have asked would have been, if it was even possible to avoid it happening any longer.

Bella was breaking my heart worrying over how everything is going to work out. I know we don't have an EPOV but I think he's falling just as hard as Bella is.
I'm glad it was Tanya in the shadows and not Victoria. Of course I should have expected Tanya since Bella has been lacking in her communication skills lately.
I think it's a good call to leave out hard core, graphic lemons. They really wouldn't fit in with the story. Of course outtakes are always welcome :)

I feel relieved that we think Marcus doesn't know about Jack. He could be keeping his knowledge of his grandson to himself for now. At least Edward didn't go off on her for not involving him from the beginning with the Marcus situation.

Esme's eyes turned hard and her lips formed a frown.
"Well, then, I guess there's nothing left to say, is there?" She said in a cold voice.
"Esme, please. I'm not trying to hurt you," Bella replied softly. She had expected this reaction, but it still stung.
"It's a little too late for that now, Bella." Esme stood from her spot behind her desk and silently left the room.

It killed me to see Esme and Bella at odds with each other. Thank god you didn't drag it out and make us suffer for a few chapters with that.
When Bella met Demitri at Edward's office I was nervous about his intentions. i'm glad he turned out to be a good guy. I just loved how everyone was pushing Bella into the date with Demitri to wake Edward up.
I'm doing a happy dance because Edward asked her out on a date :)

Bella sighed and smiled, her eyes closed and facing the sky, as the classical notes of Tchaicovsky's 1812 Overture swirled around the air. She felt Edward's hand gently begin to play with her hair and she bit her lip to stifle a sigh. He had been nothing short of amazing today and she didn't want their date to come to a close any time soon.
She opened her eyes and turned her face slightly to the left.
Edward's fingers still held onto a strand of hair as he smiled down at her.
"Enjoying the concert?" he asked, in a low husky voice. She smiled widely and nodded happily.

Now that she had fallen in adoration with the Cullen clan, she couldn't imagine leaving them. But on the same token, she couldn't imagine leaving her own family and friends behind. The questions whirled around like a tornado, forcing her to blink back tears at their sudden force. She felt a nudge and turned to Esme, who was smiling at her.
"Hey, no frowning," she half-whispered. "Try to enjoy the day, sweetie."
Bella shook her head and smiled sadly. "I'm sorry, Esme. Too many thoughts running around in my head. I don't know what I'm doing."
Esme laughed lightly. "Oh, sweetheart! None of us know what we're doing. Life's a dance that we learn as we go. Everything will work out for the best, you'll see."
"How can you be so sure, Esme? I can't see how this will end happily."
Bella sniffed and looked down at her plate.
"How can I not, Bella? Fate stepped in and brought you to love and keep Jack safe. Fate brought you and Jack back to us. I can't help but be hopeful for the future, especially knowing that my grandson is alive and safe and loved."

I just knew the subject of what happens in September would come up soon. I can totally see Edward finding a way to go to Washing to be with them especially if he knows that is where Jack wants to be. Edward broke my heart. I can see how much he loves Bella. I think that as much as Jack will be what drives him to be with them where ever they are.
I just knew Victoria would be popping up soon. That was the first thing that popped in my head when Bella saw jack panicking.

Bella's heart completely shattered as the listened to the distress in Jack's voice. In that moment, she could have committed murder and not thought twice about it. Victoria Preston deserved to be be sitting at the gates of Hades right now, waiting to have her soul judged. Bella kissed the top of Jack's head and rubbed his back.
"Ssh, baby. It's okay to be scared, but no one will let her hurt you. There's no force on Earth that will take you from us. Now that he has you back, your dad will move mountains to make sure you're safe, and you know that I would fight like hell for you. There's a very long line of people willing to stand between you and Victoria."

I've been working on an Emmett Outtake for Parachute to be used in the 30 Days of Emmett, a series of One Shots, Outtakes and Drabbles featuring Emmett, which is hosted by AccioBourbon, Hmonster4 and Theheartoflife. It's already started off with a bang! Our Outtake will appear there on 12/3 and post to Parachute's Outtakes a few days later. Enormous kudos to these ladies for showing Em some love! =)

Charlie squeezed Bella and she melted against her father's side in comfort. When his flight to Seattle was called, Charlie leaned down and kissed her on the cheek.
"I'll see you in a few weeks, baby girl. Everything will work out fine, you'll see," he told her quietly.
"Thanks, Daddy," she whispered in his ear. Charlie grinned and reached out to shake Edward's hand.
"Edward, it was good to meet you, son. Take care of my family, you hear?"
Edward smiled sincerely. "With my life, Chief."
The two men exchanged a look and Charlie nodded, before looking at Jack and holding open his arms. The boy hugged his grandfather tightly.
"I'll see you soon, Pops! Tell Seth and Nana and Leah that I miss them!"
"I will, kiddo. I promise," Charlie responded, blinking away tears.

OMG, I HATE Victoria. Did Bella ever check out her recording of the call? I just kept waiting for Bella to mention James by name to see Victoria's reaction.
I got really worried about Edward and his reactions to all this. I really started freaking out when Bella just kissed his cheek, told him goodnight, and closed the door on him. I'm glad they both didn't sleep well and he showed up in her room. I'm not a huge angst person so even just a little drives me crazy. At least it worked out okay by the end of the chapter.
My feet did a little happy dance under my desk when I read that last part about Edward considering moving to Washington. I think he can obviously see that Jack wants to be there so I assume that is why he's considering it. I think he needs to know that Bella has asked Jack where he wants to live so Eward knows that Jack's happiness is her main concern :)
And again, I'm dying to know if the call recorded and when Bella's going to reveal it to Edward.

"What has you smiling so beautifully?" Esme asked curiously, just before the flight attendants announced that they were free to exit the plane.
Bella wasn't sure exactly how to respond. Edward wanted to be the one to sit down and explain his desire to relocate to his parents. Plus, nothing was set in stone, like he himself has said. She decided to go with the partial truth.
"I was just thinking about Jack and Edward. I thought my life was complete with Jack, but Edward adds a whole other dimension. I can't picture our lives without him."

Okay, I understand Renee's behavior now. At least she finally came clean with Bella. Maybe now she can heal all of that hurt and move on from it.
I don't blame Bella for not telling Edward about the recording. I didn't even think about him running to James with the info. I think Edward needs to test James. Bella has not given him a reason to doubt her and Jack's reaction should make him wonder somewhere in the back of his mind if Bella is rightt.
I love that Edward and Jack showed up in New York. What a great way to end the book tour :)

"Jack?" Bella called anxiously. Her head whipped from side to side frantically. "Jack!"
Edward's hand squeezed her tightly as he pulled her towards the customer service department. The crowd was heavy with people and her heart pounded in her chest painfully. She pulled her hand away and started to push through the crowd, heading back towards where she last saw her son.

Bella pocketed her iPhone and her hands curled into fists. The anger that she had experienced minutes earlier paled in comparison to the rage that coursed through her. The proof that James was a part of Jack's abandonment was black and white in front of her face. She fully planned on marching back into that office and tearing a new asshole into anyone who dared to get in her way. When the elevator reached the final floor, she was alone.
The doors opened and before she could step out, she found herself once again face to face with James Brooks. His eye widened in shock and her fist flew without thought. He swiftly caught her hand and pushed her back into the elevator with his body weight. "
What the hell are you doing?" he hissed angrily.
"You- you-" she stuttered. "You piece of shit! I'm not leaving here until I talk to Edward. I know who you are and what you did to Jack. You're a miserable excuse for a human being!" she shouted in her fury.
Quicker than she could blink, one of his forearms was pressed against her throat menacingly while the other hand gripped her by the hair.
"You couldn't just leave, could you?" he ground out. "No, you had to be Miss High-And-Mighty. From the first moment I laid eyes on you, I knew you'd be a challenge."

Bella stood, drenched head to toe, in the middle of her front lawn. Hot tears streamed down her face as the chilly rain pelted her skin. Her mouth was open slightly in shock, as she gazed down with wide eyes at the man she loved more than life itself. Edward's hopeful, joyous face grinned up at her from his stance on one knee. The ring held in his hand was a single brilliant diamond that was simple, yet elegant.
"Isabella Swan, I have been captivated by you since the moment I first laid eyes on you. That love only grew and expanded as I got to know you and saw first hand what a wonderful mother you are to our son. Forever could never be long enough for me, to feel like I've had long enough with you. Marry me?"
She covered her mouth and let out a sob, before throwing her arms around him and shouting, "Yes!"
They fell together, a mass a limbs and lips, their hearts beating both beating wildly. He pulled away slightly and pushed a lock of rain-saturated hair from her face.
"Let's go inside, please. I don't want you to catch a cold."
When they stood, his eyes were drawn to her white shirt, now completely plastered against her bare breasts, her nipples hard and straining against the fabric. His hand reached out to brush against her breast, causing her to become self conscious and cross her arms across her chest. She laughed lightly and nodded her head towards the house.
"Come on, let's get dry."
Edward let out a loud guffaw. "I'd rather keep you wet, love."
His hands wrapped around her waist and he pulled her back to his chest as they tumbled into the house. Sopping wet clothes soon littered the foyer floor and hands roamed greedily.
"Where is our bedroom?" he asked huskily, sweeping her into his arms.

I think Bella was truly attracted to Edward but was afraid to pursue a vanilla relationship after the disaster that was obviously her relationship with James. At least in a relationship where she is the Domme she has the control to not get hurt. I can totally see B&E having a successful vanilla and D/s relationship.

I just knew the town wouldn't take the relationship well. I'm surprised the harpy twins didn't do more damage. I just knew something bad was going to happen when Edward went off to the bathroom. I love that Bella was feeling guilty for being attracted to the hot mystery guy. It shows that she truly does care for Edward. Her saying that he was beautiful before was perfect. Hopefully helped ease some of the tension between them.
I think that's the first time I've read of virgin Eddie blowing his load over his hot first kiss with Bella, the girl he loves. That is reality at it's finest. Especially for a nerdy guy who has had not kiss/heavy petting experiences with a girl. Bella was awesome for handling that situation so well.

Dear Lord, I spent all day yesterday glued to my computer. The kids continually whining for dinner was the only thing that forced me away for a while. I love your Bella. The way she is a tiger in the courtroom or when it truly matters but still the shy Bella any other time is a perfect combination. I can't begin to tell you how happy I was that they took Jake to the cleaners rather than just confront him and end it. That was way better.
When Leah showed up pregnant I just knew she was one of Jake's girls on the side. Seth is too adorable.
Tanya scares the crap out of me. That girl is major psycho. I think I'm more afraid for Mojo in that situation than Bella. She seems like the Fatal Attraction bunny boiler type. She better watch it. Not only does she have to worry about Jasper who seems to be a kick ass lawyer, but now she'll have to worry about Bella. I have a feeling they will get her ass thrown in jail and the key thrown away before this drama is over.
I can't wait for B&E to realize who Sir and pet are. Brilliant move having it kept anonymous at the beginning. I think Edward would be too freaked out over it being Bella and would refuse and I think Bella would be too freaked over it being Edward to perform properly.
I'm pretty sure the last phone call he made was to Rose to discuss his pet's training.
Anyway, I've rambled enough in this review. Love the story and can't wait for the next update :)

I love that B&E have this time of mystery and build up of sexual tension before their test scene. I have a feeling all of that build up is going to make the scene that much more powerful.
Mojo is greatness. I think Bella woudn't be who she is without that dog. I'm truly shocked Mojo lets Emmett near him without attacking him if Em tortures him that much.
